  1. Nobody said car audio was easy
  2. You ain't lyin man. We got you and me and Hugo (onebadmonte) from SA that I know of, I know a few more people wouldn't mind coming down.
  3. Lol thanks, they are pretty jacked up being 5 years old or so, so now I just wear them when I go to the river . The strap keeps them from falling off in the water.
  4. OK so I got the unit today and it bolted right in... however, the serpentine belt slips off by one notch when I crank the engine. About 1/4" of the belt is riding over the edge of the pulley. I shot them an email to see what can be done about it... other than that, I was very satisfied with the ease of installation (had to extend a few factory leads in addition to the Big 3 already in place... never can be too careful) But following my curse on car repair, now my head unit is inoperable. Probably happened when the stock alt began to fail and took a number of sensors out with it. Oh well. Tensioner is fairly new, when I seat the belt into the grooves on the alt it jumps out when the engine is started. Still turns the alt, but I know this is not a kosher way to drive around at all.
  5. Installed my new Mechman 250amp unit
  6. Best Mexican food is down here near the border
  7. And might I add post count isn't a measure of an individual's worth on the board but in fact it is the value of content in which they provide? This coming from someone who posts mainly in Off-Topic Stay classy, SSA
  8. I would hate to be his neighbor.

1995 Cadillac Sedan Deville Bought her almost 2 1/2 years ago with 85k miles, now she has 110k Mileage averages in at 16mpg (Got about 18mpg without the rims/stereo equipment!)
  10. It would probably just sound like a swarm of pissed off bumblebees lol

I usually crash around 2am.... but if insomnia is a major problem for you, you could get on some prescription like Lunesta but it also comes with some pretty scary side effects (like sleepwalking, driving while asleep, etc!)
  12. Cool, are you satisfied with it? What was the output of your stock alt? Before mine finally failed it was running like a champ, 140amp alt, but it was 15 years old and I imagine that I put quite a bit of stress on it so it was only a matter of time before it failed. I just didn't expect it to take out a few electrical circuits when it did (turns out they are really sensitive to voltage )

Anybody have experience with them, if so, how long do they take to ship after payment? I realize they are made to order which will affect the length of time... I paid on Thursday, the payment cleared immediately, but it still says "processing..." I ordered a new 250amp High Output unit for my car (The stock one took a dump, causing multiple sensors to burn out in the process). It's this one here. Thanks guys
  14. I see it too much nowadays man.. you are strong you can overcome anything you want to though! I had to see a good friend of 6 years go from a high GPA college student to a miserable alcoholic & benzo addict in a matter of less than a year. He's only 20, and he's gotten to the point of stealing food extracts from the grocery store that contain alcohol to get his fix. He's been in and out of detox but the damn doctors just feed him more pills, he told them straight up "Please don't give me prescriptions I have a problem and I will abuse them" but apparently that fell on deaf ears. Do this for yourself man we all have faith in you.

When I tell people about my subs, I say something like "The brand is called 'FIGH', spelled F - I, they're a custom sub manufacturer based out of Vegas and you can only order online" that usually quells any confusion lol You want to hear about a funny mispronounciation... my buddy used to work in the car business, had a guy come in asking about parts for a "Pontiac Ghoolie"... after repeated attempts to understand what the guy was saying he went out to the car and discovered it was a Pontiac 6000LE
  19. You stole the words out of my mouth I was actually going to suggest that... a flat-billed fitted cap WOULD be awesome! Julian - If anything else, I'm not sure if you have a Lids store near you but they might be able to stitch the Fi logo on a plain black fitted cap.... the problem is that most places that do monogramming like that only work with preset fonts, but if you look around there are surely places that deal with more detailed customization (like alteration shops that do work for soccer/baseball teams)
  20. I donated $10 through the Red Cross text message donation, just text "HAITI" to "90999". It's legit... I can't afford to give very much but I wanted to give something.
  21. Looks like you were dead on with that one
  22. I got mine done by my friend Stephanie at Prick Tattoos (the youngest licensed female tattoo artist in San Antonio @ the time).. here's what I got so far... eventually want to get complete sleeves..
  23. That's bad dude we had a CNC machine at our shop that's one of the few things I didn't get an opportunity to learn @Notorious from FWI: It must be beautiful down there, I have a buddy from Trinidad & Tobago we are shooting to fly there next Carnival, couldn't make it this year due to "financial concerns and unforseen situations" @Porkchop: Holy hell man I get dizzy on stepladders no way I could do that kind of work, props to ya
