  1. When you say grills/coverings you just mean something to hide the actual speaker right? You can do it a number of ways... get a pre-made speaker grille, stretch grille cloth over the speaker, build something out of mesh, etc. etc. You can check out what I did with mine, don't know if it will help you because I didn't put grilles on mine (the ID grilles looked very out of place in my car) http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...24202&st=45 Good luck!
  2. Old school Kicker was the ish man! I had a set of round S12 Solo-Barics for my first setup.
  3. x2... I get many ideas in my graphic designing by downloading large font packs that have varied selections of fonts in them, you can pick up a program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro (my personal fav) and read a short tutorial on how to use either... you'll be rife with ideas in no time!
  4. I was driving along today with the bass up, and my freakin rearview mirror explodes! The trim ring that holds all the innards in place spontaneously flies off at me and the mirror assembly just falls out... at first I was like and then I was like :bigclap: lol Simple fix just need some glue

  7. lol I still have my thumbs!!!
  8. But I would love to have that year Eldo man... my dream is to have a Caddy convertible (a late 50's would be better but out of my price range anytime soon lol)
  9. Yeah but it's like a train wreck - against your better judgment you just gotta take a peek (even if it's through your fingers)
  10. It's healing up fairly well! My fingers look like something out of Resident Evil though! ***You know the drill, click at your own risk, c'mon you know you want to *** http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...090222-2113.jpg
  11. Just got my new Blackberry Storm yesterday, i'm now among the league of toilet posters! This thing is so much fun.
  12. Anyone ever been reading a forum post or something, click a link to Youtube, watch the video, notice the related videos so you watch them too, and before you know it like an hour's gone by and you've gone from sub flex videos to car crashes to fights to midgets brandishing cattle prods etc. etc. etc.? It's like a black hole. / $.02

Ouch man! Injuries FTL Take care of that tongue man, and get well soon! And x2 on the grievous injuries forum
  14. Yeah they told me that the point was for the fingers to stay moist, and that they would get all wrinkly and stuff... I double checked with them yesterday and they said the bandages need to stay on pretty much 24/7, except to clean them out. Thanks for the advice guys
  15. Well, it's healing I think... are they supposed to look like this? I've been changing the bandages twice a day, washing them off and coating them with Neosporin. ***WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES, WEAK STOMACHS LOOK ELSEWHERE*** http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/DCP_0067.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C.../DCP_0065-1.jpg
  16. This year has started off really hectic but I finally finished my pods, so here we are! A few wrinkles, vinyl is so hard to work with! It's ok, they add character Had some chrome left so I used it up Custom badging there too And a little something only Texas boys would understand
  17. Yeah, even after he stabbed my hand about 5-6 times and pumped it full of lidocaine I could still feel a few of the sutures he was putting in... I have a pretty good tolerance for pain but that ish did kinda sting lol I was telling them about that thing... very cool device. However, I work in a small aircraft composities business who has trouble making payroll on time, let alone investing in some equipment like that... the saw is dangerous anyhow. The table is chipped and splintered in many places which will cause your material to catch. I knew that thing was a disaster waiting to happen.
  18. Yeah they gave me these silicone tube things to keep them moist, she told me to change them out and wash them 2-3 times a day. I guess they're not supposed to get any fresh air yet?
  19. My right ring finger and pinky are naturally taking the place of my index and middle, so I can still type and write fairly good believe it or not!! Thanks for the replies guys. Changing the dressings makes me lightheaded, just seeing a body part of yours in a condition like that is enough to turn the hardest of stomachs over... hurts like hell. But the saw blade was only sticking up about 1/2" so that's what probably saved my ass (or my fingers!) Doc gave me some Darvocet and Tramadol, the trams don't do much for me so I'm going to take a Darv and see if I can go to work for a little while today. Got a follow up appointment in 10 days. The doc also told me I was lucky, as he has people come into his office ever so often with their fingers in ziploc ice baggies! I'll keep you all updated.
  20. Well, earlier this morning I had a mishap with the table saw and it ate the tips off my index and middle finger of my right hand... I was cutting aluminum angles and even had someone there to help me out, but the saw reverse-fed on me and dragged my fingers through the blade... good thing it was brand new, because it cut cleanly and didn't pull my hand into it. I had no time to react it all happened so fast... I am usually the one who warns people of proper form and technique on this tool, but accidents do happen... please always be careful. The surgeon pulled the remaining skin together as best he could, and sutured it together. The wounds are still very much open so I must wear and change out silicone tubes on my fingers to keep the area covered up as best as possible. I have Darvocet and Tramadol to manage the pain Here are some pictures for the non-squeamish ***WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*** http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/SSPX0035.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/SSPX0034.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/SSPX0033.jpg http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj215/C...95/SSPX0032.jpg
  21. What?? You sold your rims? You sold all that stuff? You must be planning something big
  22. Looks like somebody has a crush on you jon Sounds like he just has an addiction to spending money.
  23. lol it is a big motor. lol Thanks for the comments guys I found out she's been sitting for a few years so the gas is bad and the carb probably needs to be cleaned, still haven't been able to get her running yet. The Caddy needs an Idle Speed Control motor and a new fuel sending unit (about $400 all together with labor and parts) so the Chevy will probably be sitting for a short while longer... bigjon I got those pods done and I will try and make a trip up there soon man
  24. Yeah, the dude had it running yesterday so I am going to take the plugs out tomorrow and make sure they aren't fouled by fuel, maybe get some starting fluid to help it along. I look at it as getting a sweet deal on a badass big block/tranny, with a free Chevy body attached Most of what you see is cosmetic... Once I get it physically running, me and my buddy plan to sand the truck down, get it in one solid color of primer (black or gray), sandblast the wheels and spray them, lay down a new bed bottom, and replace the windshield (eventually cut the top off and fabricate a removeable soft top ) Other than that, I can sand down the rusty floor and cover it with carpet, and I'm thinking vinyl wrapping on most of the unsightly metal. Since we are going to do most of the labor ourselves that should keep the costs down quite a bit... eventually I'd like to see this bad boy slammed on air bags Just a little different from driving the Lac But now I have Beauty and the Beast
