  1. I got a quick question. Figured I’d ask you because you seem to have a lot of experience. It’s about multiple aero ports. I used an online port calculator, and as I enter the quantity of ports the length increases. Does the length represent total length of all combined ports together or is it each aero port?
  2. Looks awesome. Got that submarine viewing port going on
  3. Cool I’ll look it up. Again...changing the game lol
  4. Wood dye!? Is that the same as wood stain? That color really pops lol
  5. That’s great you’re loving it. How was that sundown working out for u ? I see you had it in a some what small Box. Were you content with it
  6. Well first off I thought you was making a slot port with two kerfs in it. I saw how long your wood was so I figured you was making a single piece front wall. With the kerfs for the port. Then I saw you had it looping around and the orientation you took the pic, so I imagined a slot port where that rounded piece of wood was the port wall lol. Yea way off. But know this, you just blew the mind of someone with your wood working skills and design!!! Lol. And it’s 2017, a bunch of outlets with a huge data base of informations. ( google ,YouTube, etc) and ive never seen that done before. So kudos to you my man
  7. Awesome. Not what I had imagined lol. So what attaches it to the floor ? Or is it being attached to the face good enough
  8. So you’re using that as the port itself ?
  9. That looks awesome
  10. Can’t wait to see how it plays.
  11. I guess I’m an ameteur! Lol. So what’s the measurements??
  12. First time I’ve seen that quick connect! Real slick
  13. Finally got to wrapping my box for the two 12s
  14. Nothing too fancy tho. So don’t get your hopes up expecting fiberglasss and plexiglass and what not lol. Just a heads up
  15. Yea I’ll have a little update. I just got me a pair of team evils.
  16. Looks great. Where did you get it from ? Is the texture on the smaller end? I used a deck liner from Home Depot once. It had a nice look from far but up close it was real jagged. And it left dust every time I’d move it a bunch.
  17. Doing it big right off the bat! You’ll love em. I brought my first ssa sub just recently. With no prior experience with the brand or the forum. But after doing lots of research. Watching videos. And seeing all the positive comments this brand gets. I made the jump. And I’m very glad I did so. It did take a while to come in , so be patient. But my friend it is well worth the wait. The quality, craftsmanship, and the sound it produces is worth it. Anywho, welcom and you’ll love the equipment. I got all the things you listed except my sub of choice was the evil.
  18. Looks great!
  19. Nice I’ll be tuned in for that.
  20. Ok thanks for the input! Useful info there. But I’m doing it for a friend he has a 91 f150. I can get the bix to about 2.25 ft3 after displacement. I’m gonna be stuffing an hds3.1 12 in there. It’ll be a wedge type box, with the sub firing backwards because there’s a slight pocket so the surround won’t hit nothing. And I’ll use a slot port 2 inches wide and the height of the box which will give me 32 sq inches. I was looking at sub on passenger side and the port firing driver side. He ain’t really gonna be demoing so I just want it to blow him away. I had two 12p3 shallow mounts but he blew those. Then I tried to put 2 hds8 in it and it wasn’t as loud as I thought it be. It could be because the magnet was about a half inch away from a wall I’m not sure if that affects the sound that much. So this new Box I’m gonna make a pocket so the sub can breath a little more. And I guess for tuning I’ll go with 36hz. Soundqubed says it likes high tuning. And you went ahead and suggested high tuning so guess I’ll guve it a try
  21. If you don’t wanna drill holes then yes coax speakers will be your best bet. But they do offer surface mount tweeter brackets with components sets. Those would require just a few screw holes. Not sure if you thought flush mount was the only type of way to mount a tweeter. Out of all all the brands I’d say alpine. Not sure the differenceof the two type type of cones so I’d go with who her fits your budget
  22. I’m interested in knowing as well. Side firing slot port on the driver side is ideal? And how far from the wall is recommended ?
  23. I picked up a hds3 12 for a friend. So should I tune to 34ish or follow this chart according to the 2.25ft3 recommendation? 36sq inches by 21 comes out to 41 he according to this port calculator I’m using
