  1. I don't mind putting in hours of work I just have to know how to do it if that makes sense. Fully willing just need to be shown the direction in which to walk.. if you know of any tutorials on making a baffle, or anything of the sort it would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Thank you both! Especially since you have helped on multiple posts! Do either of you have a link or anything of the sort to guidelines for making a baffle? Or is it better to purchase, and if so a vouched for site?
  3. Hello once again! I've had my eyes drooling (yes this makes no sense but roll with it) over a component set of JBL 670 GTi's. Though I ran into a problem. With my knowledge only beginning to spark in the car audio field I've been using Crutchfield as almost a cheat sheet in finding if something fits my vehicle, and they said this set would not, as well did the JBL site. Though their reasoning was only that the depth of the speaker was slightly off (refer to picture). Is this an easy to fix problem?? Or has the pooch been screwed?? Thank you to anyone who replies!
  4. Hello! I really am looking forward to upgrading my car audio but have run into "crossroads". I would love to go the raw driver option, but I do not know or think I'm inclined enough to get an active crossover.. in your opinions, is it difficult? Or does it just take a lot of patience..I only ask because I have my eye on a Focal K2 Power 130 which would have it's passive crossover. Also have my eyes on jbl 670 GTIS component set.
  5. I want to put one coming off my battery and one near my amp. Just too make sure everything is powered properly, if drained to much I would add a second battery or an dc h/o alternator. I was looking at this any reason to think it wouldn't do the job correctly? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CIX2KDC/ref=s9_topr_hm_awbw_b1402d_g263_i21?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-13&pf_rd_r=1X4T2VAM5662G8ZZC6H3&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_p=db86aa0a-601c-5244-a32a-749acc762b5c&pf_rd_i=15729811
  6. Cool! Wire it just like a voltmeter?
  7. I'm sorry I guess I'm just confused by your first reply...if volt meters aren't any good how should I keep an eye on voltage in your opinion?
  8. I was going to get a Steve meade voltmeter, any good?
  9. So can I wire the voltmeter directly into the positive and negative terminals of the amp?
  10. So I was just curious when wiring a voltmeter to my amp, can I just put the power, remote, and negative wire directly into the amp where the battery wires are put in? Or do I have to try and splice them into a "Y" right before they enter the amp?
  11. Hey guys quick easy question, my vehicle is set for a 24f battery, and I was look at xs batteries but they do not have one and said to just use their size 34. However it is slightly smaller so does anyone have any recommendations for a 24f sized battery? Or should I just go with a 34 xs?
  12. Hey guys! I've been looking on getting a better speaker set up for my 2002 4Runner, and with my knowledge (beginner) I figured the easiest thing to do would be getting a comp set and wanted to see if you guys could recommend a company or an actual set! I'm not super worried about pricing. I don't need anything cheap because I'd rather have quality products, but at the same time my ABSOLUTE limit would be $1500-$2000 though I'd like to stay under that. My car comes with 4 mid speakers and 2 tweeters, though most sets come with two mids so I wouldn't mind getting two more down the road. I have two 12" SSA ICON subs behind what I'm getting so fully support the lows already. I listen to a lot of rock, trap, and rap. Any input would be amazing!

  14. Never mind it was different I apologize.
  15. This site states what everyone said to do to get low ohms actually gives 8 ohms?
  16. The amp is mono, paralleled internally, it's the 2400 Incriminator sold from the ssa store.
  17. Quick question. If I have two subs at 1 ohm each and they were wired into a mono amp with 4 connectors, would the impendance come to 1 ohms since they were technically in parallel?
  18. I should have phrased that differently, it was recommended to put each coil of the sub in series, and wire the subs in parellel and I'm trying to figure out that, when I looked at a diagram it had one set of positive and negatives from each sub wired together but not to the amp...I suppose YouTube might be the ticket to fully understand that one by seeing it haha
  19. This helped a lot...but when it shows the series/parallel wiring a positive and negative on each sub is wired together but that's where it ends, like not put into the amp...so basically you're only using one set from each?
  20. Thank you everyone really appreciate it! Might be able to do this right the first time now.
  21. Well I'm referring to the sundown 3000 watt amp, and dual ssa icon 12" 's to help clarify...I could get one or two ohm versions of the subs I just honestly guessed 2 ohms was the way to go.
  22. Hello quick question involving wiring two 2ohm subs to an amp. If the amp is rated for 3000 watts at 1 ohm mono, how would one wire the subs to reach 2500-3000 watts? Should it be wired regulary or bridged?
  23. Is there an online shop you know of that can do it? Only ask here because I'll take it as a couch for them
