  1. X2 , what are you expecting to get out of the sub? what do you want to accomplish? what are you going to be pairing it with? etc etc
  2. yes, the one that is not working now is the one thats on the distro block
  3. Like I said, I'll check everything tomorrow at lunch and i'll report back by the end of the day...I'll let you know how it goes! and yes I'll turn the gains down to 37v!!
  4. I will check more tomorrow during my lunch and I'll fill you in! Thanks for the chart, it will come in handy! and Ken, I added you on msn, hope thats alright I'll call MA tomorrow and talk to them about they're fuse ratings... why would one amp pop and the other one doesnt? they both have the 100 amp fuses...
  5. It has nothing to do with the voltage your putting out the rca's, you have a power problem somewhere within your setup. Personally I think your amp will need more fusing than what you are using. what do you mean by "Personally I think you amp will need more fusing than what you are using." ?
  6. haha yes mom. I'll try the power/grounds tomorrow at lunch and report back.... and just out of curiocity, how did you figure out 37v AC?
  7. I dont understand though...at first the amp was set very low and my subs were barely moving...I turned it up on both amps to a little under half, and this happens.... lol
  8. how would I have pushed the amp that hard? I mean, the ouput RCA's from the Alpine is only 4v....
  9. RCA's could be put into an EQ from the deck then out to the amps lol and now what the hell lol
  10. yes, the input on the amps comes from an Alpine 9886, yes the RCA's... and would it make more sense if the decimal place was moved over so its 6v?
  11. my input is directly from an Alpine 9886
  12. lol thats wat was on the meter...60.5. Theres no way that 2700watts is coming out of those amps lol, at half gain....
  13. i dont remember what i set them to, i believe i used just the gains, no bass boost...set them around half way up, 60.5
  14. i try to get 20-40hz tuned all the same... 30-40hz was tuned the same which is what my stereo peaks at. im not sure what you mean by 37v ac...
  15. depends on which tone, each tone gives a different signal....the multi meter is places on the speaker outputs of the amp and set accordingly on both amps
  16. both amps are set using a multi meter, set to the exact same output signal
  17. not sure, but like i said, it says 100 amp fuse recommended in the manual, and I've also called Massive Audio and they said 100amp fuse is enough. i think its 104.16 amps or something... but im not running 1500wrms out of the amps, they're only turned up about half way
  18. the fuse is fine...thats what im saying. even if it was the fuse that popped, what would have caused that?
  19. the wire is 100% in the distro block...already triple checked that
  20. I haven't tried that yet since its dark out here, and was dark when the amp went down. I'll try that tomorrow...worth a shot o for sure! but why don't you run out there and unplug both yrou pos and neg leads and touch them to the dmm and see what they are reading that way you can elimate if there is an issue with the distro/wiring. then you can narrow it down to either the amp, or rca's or remo err you check the remo and it si 12volts how is your remote wired? one after another or did you do it the right way and use a relay? Its too dark here, and theres minimal space around where I can get to the wires so its a huge pain. I will do it tomorrow during my lunch hour @ work. I dont think the RCA's would cause no power from the power wire... both remote wires are attached to 1 switch to turn on both DB3000s, the directly to the amps.
  21. I haven't tried that yet since its dark out here, and was dark when the amp went down. I'll try that tomorrow...worth a shot
  22. the other amp is connected to the other battery on its own. its a 4 gauge from the battery (with fuses ofcourse). 2 batteries... one battery going to one DB3000 one battery going to a distribution block / fuse holder; one side goes to one DB3000, the other side goes to the 4 channel.
