Not giving the guy much credit, are ya? "Listening" to Tommy's truck at finals made me walk away from it I liked it better when it was off
  3. Do you mean a 4th order?

The question is, were you on a VA state highway at the time?

Lou Dobbs is an idiot. Just thought I'd get that out there.

I saw a segment on the Travel Channel about something awfully similar to that...a retired machinist bought an airport crash rescue truck and made the thing into the ultimate RV...complete with a motorized wheelchair lift. I'd drive it.

Well, I guess if you're looking for that one more car to add to the collection...
  9. The tires give it away a little, geriatric owners of these don't usually have rears that wide

The question is, why? Unless you're running a van-full of amps like you described above, there's really no need for very high preout voltages. Heck, there's a fair amount of people in home audio that run absolutely no active preamplification between the transport/DAC and the power amplifiers, as long as the input impedances work out and cable capacitance isn't a factor there's really no need for anything more

The question is, why do you have to?

Wow, and I thought I was a grammar nazi...I have nothing on some people... Guy over on DIYAudio wrote a diatribe to another person that replied to my BIB thread, bemoaning the use of "basically" as demeaning and insulting to the reader...when I don't think anyone had a problem with anything the person said it in the first place
  16. You can't, if the amp is only stable down to 1 ohm safely...
  17. That's about 10KHz short of where I'd start to consider something marginally "full range"

    Turn the volume down?
  19. Floyd - Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving with a Pict I love it The entirely of Ummagumma should really be listened to with all the lights off...

  21. Looks very understated and clean outside, very cool
  22. The drivers from Exodus Audio...DIYCable...CSS...lots of good ones in that price range
  23. Whats up with forum mods flaming other companies like 12 year olds? Sounds real professional. Is there some law that says moderators are supposed to be opinionless? Maybe you can ask them why as an owner of an eD product for five years and a member on ICIX since its creation why I'm not allowed to post on the eD sections anymore, because I sure haven't gotten any answers

I hate when you think a door's going to have more resistance than it does... Hewwo, I'm Jim and I'm uncoordinated.
