The problem with going smaller in cone size is you're giving up swept area. This is why I'm not particularly a fan of small enclosures if it's at all possible to build bigger...it's a bad corner to get backed into.

Someone please explain this
think ill have too beef up the saspention first... Think you'd have to buy a new vehicle to drive everyday because you won't be able to drive that one when you're done with it

Even if you knew all the specifications of that build...which you won't...that's not a score you just replicate

Why are you getting rid of the Atlas in the first place? Flat to 20Hz, 2.5 cubes and not a lot of power doesn't add up very well.

Welcome to the IHoP
people are quick to judge especially ig you are a kid. Makes more sense if they're in their late 20s or 30s and are having a hard time coming to grips with....reality.

Welcome to the IHoP
AudioAsylum has by far the best content and diversity of discussion that I've found...anywhere...they haven't jumped on the php, IPboard or VBulletin bandwagon yet though

Welcome to the IHoP
I can't find one that I can really get into, although HomeTheaterShack can be pretty good somedays. I just have to spread my time out amongst DIYaudio, HTS, AVS, AudioCircles, and AudioKarma. AK goes in waves of pissing me off greatly and just being OK. While I don't think there's anything wrong with vintage receivers, tape decks, or speakers found at yard sales, it just seems that's all that's being talked about. Not just that, but there's an active resistance against anything new sometimes, it seems. And the car audio discussion was hilarious If it wasn't for the couple of really cool people I've met in NC on that board, I'd probably just delete my account. AudioCircle in my experience is a big manufacturer's circle jerk. I have no experience with HTS or AVS, but as I'm not interested in home theater now I don't know how useful they'd be...

The wall has a new look. . .
An SPL install that actually looks good...what are you trying to do, lower your score?

Welcome to the IHoP
All I'd like to find...is a forum with a decent amount of home audio traffic...with a pretty good level of discussion...with a user interface that's not from 1992...that's not filled with old bags that haven't learned anything since the 8-track. Am I asking too much?

New BM: Good for home? When can I buy?
No. I thought I underlined it Really well...the last version that was built was one of my favorite subs that I've heard so far.

New BM: Good for home? When can I buy?
The latest production version of the Mag would be an excellent choice for movies or music. Not too many drivers I'd take over it. Power handling is going to be dependent on the enclosure, but I'd say an 800W or 1kW amp will give you flexibility for a number of different alignments. IMO, going with a newer BM would be a step back from what you have already...

Need to buy some parts
If all you're looking for is a dust cap, you can buy them from Parts Express or other places that stock refoaming supplies
-
Replacement Parts
I'd start junkyard hunting...seems like a common enough vehicle that a local place might have what you're looking for.

Welcome to the IHoP
I'm not a fan of vodka martinis though...shaken or stirred... That is because you don't buy nice enough vodka Other than Goose, what good quality vodka would you recommend?
