Who cares what the peak power is? It looks like it has a remote controller as an accessory, but doesn't say it's included, so I wouldn't assume so. A switch like you're talking about can be wired into the remote turn on for the amp, just a simple SPST (single pole, single throw) toggle switch does the job.
