  1. BTL's would be the choice if you're interesting in farting, though you'll be spending a lot more to power them properly.
  2. What don't you like now?
  3. Honestly, I'd rather have the amp maker put more into the "guts" of the amp and dispense with the frills. Just set it by ear...

Matt, saw ya heading south on Main St around 5pm, I was in an unmarked white van heading into town
  5. It would work, but I'd rather have the SSD with a copper coil in that situation.
  6. I was very impressed with the previous generation of BM's, I'm looking forward to hear the new ones. My expectations are high

    Is Dave around this weekend?

Concrete contains five parts Portland cement, three parts celery and two parts Jimmy Hoffa.

I never use PB, so you should see everything of mine...either Imageshack or my CSO gallery.

I'm not familiar with your vehicle, posting a picture of the kickpanel area would be helpful... How much do you have to spend? Keep in mind you'll need four channels of amplification, whether that's a four channel amp or two two-channels, and a crossover.

Indeed, walling off a daily driver is no small undertaking...you need to have your reasons clearly in mind before any holes are drilled and you build something that has a very good chance of killing you and a passenger if not properly built.
  12. I saw one of those a couple days ago, I was walking to Pamplin when I heard this whining noise behind me...thought it was a powered wheelchair, turned around and almost cracked up.

Do bears shit in the woods? Not when Steve's around.

What he's saying is that loud SQ may not be what you're going for.

It's alright, nothing they're using is that new...the boards have been tested.
  16. Technically started last week, but this week is my first "real" week with a complete schedule... Meh. I can't complain too much, things have actually gone pretty well so far.

    Why?
  18. True, if I was handed a half million I'd probably buy a floatplane and go vacation in the Caribbean for a year or five, before I'd do something like that...but what's really surprising is how small his music collection is. That's really not a lot of albums, considering what he has in the system...

http://www.furious.com/perfect/vinyl60.html Really good Vinyl Anachronist article this month.
  20. Use a DMM to check continuity in the speaker wires, power cables...
  21. Who cares what the peak power is? It looks like it has a remote controller as an accessory, but doesn't say it's included, so I wouldn't assume so. A switch like you're talking about can be wired into the remote turn on for the amp, just a simple SPST (single pole, single throw) toggle switch does the job.

    Peaceful loving...lol Good one
  23. How did that get worn down in the first place? Other than that, I'd have to say Value Electronics FTW

A used PG Tantrum 500.2 would do the job...should be able to find one under $200.
