heat issue
A loose connection would add resistance, leading to heat buildup...make sure all the connections are solid.

Pics of the new proto
Pictures are all well and good...but how does it sound

Which speakers for me?
Why just not turn the front stage off with bass music? Are you truly missing anything? I'd recommend a set of horns...and forget the rear fill.

lookin for midbass
what* If you could find some, a used pair of Kicker RMB8's would be a good choice, along with Adire Extremii, or Peerless midbasses...

What was your first system?
Ramos had my kind of amps back when they were new...

If you're willing to stretch your budget by $50, Jake's got a nice sale on some Sundown SAZ-1500D's.

Nope, don't have an account there.

Welcome to the IHoP
Every time I hang out with Dave and Ramos it's an education on late '80s/early '90s rap Still waiting to hear "My Hooptie" on an SQ demo disc...

Maybe I'm just shallow-minded, but wtf does a video tell you about buying a sub? It moves a lot...wow...
-
which 15's??
The idea of setting your stuff up properly is so you won't damage anything...why it's important to understand the balance between the head unit's preout voltage and the input gain on the amp, and how that affects what comes out the other side

Sealed Box and MDF
Could always add bracing perpendicular to the sides of the box...would work fine.

Welcome to the IHoP
I haven't seen the finished product yet, the last time I saw everything you were still prepping them for paint. Dave doesn't know it yet but he's helping me move my speakers in once they're built

Efficient and Clean bass
Not always. For example, the upper end Hifonics lines are vastly different than their lower end lines.

Welcome to the IHoP
On the other end, PG ARx series cables have probably the worst ends I've ever seen...tiny crimped joints, barely any solder, pitiful strain reliefs.

WBT Topline ends are $50 each. Eichmanns are close to that. No thank you. Really makes Knukonceptz affordable, considering the quality of their ends

Welcome to the IHoP
One problem with hardwood that I see is that it's got some issue that ply or MDF doesn't have...voids and such.People have beaten you to the punch though, do a search for Fostex on Audigon and you'll see what I mean I'm not a big cable nut either, but I'm all for excuses to try new products...and figure the home audio section here could use some more exposure.

Welcome to the IHoP
I still have a pair of 1cF sealed cabinets that I have sitting around, once the Fostex project gets completed I think I'll start looking for drivers to stick in them...

Welcome to the IHoP
Yeah, the Fonkens have quite a following...especially with the FR125's...
