For Sean if he sees it... Got any tricks on aligning the cart in the headshell? I used the overhang gauge to get the stylus to where it should be, but I'm sort of eyeballing where the main body should be relative to the rest of the headshell. I think I've got it pretty good, but since I don't have a real cartridge alignment tool yet, this is as good as I can get it...

rat bastards, I can't find the cartridge and headshell they were supposed to have packed with this..it's not a big concern as I got them free anyway, but that annoys me because my good cart (Denon) isn't due to arrive until tomorrow. And I can't balance the tonearm or do any sort of adjustment with no weight on the headshell... le argh, indeed.

Like tanks. They didn't by chance sell new covers for them did they? My plastic is teh cracked. Some drunk doof fell on it in college. Hell, new tonearms are $70 for the entire thing...I'd take that over a $250 replacement from Rega UK anyday!

That's like my "soldering by feel" approach. I accidently left the iron on and laying on the bench...brushed up my arm against it, didn't feel anything until I smelled my skin bubbling

got my new toys Now I get to figure out how to set every up...damn thing has a million adjustments... No pics until I bring everything back to B'burg. No point seeing the mess I've got here just to test stuff. And the stereo I'm using isn't too great.
