uh oh... I'm going to let the "70/80's speakers FTL" comment slip by...no point in arguing that with someone

I'd rather get a Behringer EP2500 + Feedback Destroyer and put 2500W+ on it at home

Kind of like if I bought a 20.1 and ran it at 0.4ohms... Which I'm not thinking about. Totally not.

Killer amp. Although the pea green ones are sinfully ugly...
  6. Or be on the lookout for a PG Tantrum 1200.1. 1400+ @ 2-4 ohms.

Funny stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Change thread title to "spanking"? Yay/nay? In other news, although the guy didn't bite on my offer, I still have the chance to pick up a brand new 18" Eclipse 9100 series for $718 shipped. Thinking I'm going to go for it...for the sheer "what the hell" factor.

Now, if there's a book that could teach me financial accounting in a way that made sense, I'd be all over that.

Don't think so. It's a long drive from NC, and I don't have any of my stuff I've ordered that I wanted to bring back to the apartment. I can't justify a five hour drive just for that.

"How do I stop a wire from sparking when I connect it to the battery?" "Unless you use a circuit breaker, nothing you can do." "What's a circuit breaker?"

Wider baffle will help reduce funky effects from the baffle step loss... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Didn't even know that stuff existed till I got the link on CSO. I'm rereading it right now annd attempting to decide on a baffle size. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I first heard about it with Fostex drivers and mass loaded TL's...Martin King in his TL designs recommends a correction circuit, but for really low power apps it's not the best solution because the extra parts cost efficiency. Part of why you see huuuge baffles for OB speakers, narrow ones have really unpredictable and awful response patterns.

For specific roads, maybe. But you see fully loaded semi's around here on two lane roads, does a number on the asphalt though. As long as you don't have a tiny bridge near your house...

As long as you've got headlights, wipers and a horn, I don't see why not...

You just need a real truck. I used to have a straight six Ford with the granny gear and that thing would pull anything out of the water. I used to get laughed at using a 6 banger to pull a 15,000lb boat until everyone realized it has more torque and yanking power than most big diesels. Manual tranny ftw on that beyotch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A 'Mog S404 is "only" a 4 banger I'd rather have a manual in that case...now, there are some 'crawlers that are automatics, and it's amazing what they can do with suitable mods. But being on a rock and a straight line pull are two very different situations.
