Isn't that the motto of Sheffield Labs? Let's make 200 gram vinyl repressings of crap, but it's crap that has excellent imaging.

That cracks me up to, but I surely don't have most of it and would preview it anyway. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Where else are you going to find Burt Bacharach, George Micheal, The Carpenters, and the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra together?

Never bothered to register there, just never got into it for some reason. That and Carsound were two forums that I just missed completely.

Welcome to the IHoP
yeah some of the people can be pretty annoying but the vast majority are just comical to me <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe it is when you're...well, your size. When you're my size it makes you want to pick up a flamethrower

If I need a jigsaw I commandeer my dad's Festool one...absolutely love that thing. Though the Festool circular saw is really what spoils me, it has a 4' non-slip metal guide that locks into the bottom of the saw, so you can't screw up a straight line

Should have told your mom that with the Yellow Top, you're far less likely to get stranded because the battery couldn't start the truck.

You got pwnt on that price - I bought mine at Autozone locally for $30 less... And your Walmart battery will put out more CCA than the YT, instantaneous current capacity is not why you buy a deep cycle

ok...now you remeber that the boy's cabinets are dayton 7" alum mids and hifi 1" textile dome tweeter...dunno if your thinking a factory bookshelf system or not... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Bookshelf" and "high efficiency" generally are mutually exclusive terms

Natural hiss? Single-ended output stages have a low-level hum that doesn't go up as the volume increases...but where that's an SS output stage, I wouldn't expect there to be much of a hiss. Especially not on (relatively) low efficiency speakers. I have a slight hum with the Klipsch's, but then again, those are several times more efficient and even then I can't hear anything more than a foot away or so. I bet it's due to them using really high gain tubes - 12AX7s are known for being "hot". Dropping in a pair of GE 5751's would drop the preamp stage's gain by 30%, but you're there and I'm here Now that you mention it, it'll be something I try when it's finally my turn with it...
