They are small looking little guys too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most 12V signal tubes are the same size...12AU7, 'AT7, 'AY7, 'AX7 tubes all fit into the same socket and take the same voltages, the only difference is the amount of gain.

Is it like what Alpine does with the AI-Net adapter...no direct inputs on the unit, but there's an adapter to give you that connectivity? I don't know Pioneers, so that's why I'm asking.

Those types of shows are good for deals on stuff, but the people that populate those things are generally idiots. I have a General class license...studying for the highest one, but some things I still get wrong on the tests - mostly having to do with reading Smith Charts and calculating impedance in vector form. Passed the 5wpm Morse exam...tried for the 20wpm, but missed it by a little bit. Just didn't have enough solid copy to pass.
