The lesson out of this...don't mess with guys named "Knox". I could have told you that regardless of the back story

http://cgi.ebay.com/homebrew-AM-transmitte...1QQcmdZViewItem *splooge* Some day...some day...that's one of those things I'd buy now, knowing it'd be years before I have the room to put up an antenna for it But alas, NJ's a bit far to drive...

Pick it up if you can...the phono stage alone is pretty decent, and it kicks ass as a standalone preamp if your addiction goes to seperates... I'll probably keep mine for a while, just wanted to put a feeler out there if anyone was dying to get one.

Cash money, foo. I'll be up there in late July, so I figure I might as well pick it up then, also get the rest of the roll of deadener I have chilling in my apartment. PM me with what you want...

Hey, just joined and I have an E class too!
Since you said you were a member on CA.com...a fair number of us are moderators over there, yet spend a lot of time on here. Coincidence? I think not

Hey, just joined and I have an E class too!
A good number of us have met each other in person, are good friends in real life... I think I speak for a lot of people here in saying that although we may be active on a couple different forums, this one is our online "home"...it may not have the activity of some other ones, but the quality of the posters makes up for it, in my mind If you don't see a lot of useful posts that need answering, check out the IHOP in the OT section...that's probably where we are

Welcome to the IHoP
Although 180 and 200 gram vinyl repressings are about as much of a ripoff...$25 to $30 for a remaster that may or may not sound better than the original, and a lot of times sound worse...no thank you...

CDs are rape...when you can find mint-condition double albums on LP for the cost of what one shiny little disc goes for, you know things are f'ed up

What did you guys use for a front stage? I mean, you're not going to get midbass miracles out of 4" drivers, but you could certainly get something with decent response under 100Hz or so with a correct install...the lack of processing ability certainly didn't help matters any. Oh well. What's to become of the equipment?

I don't think we ever had that in NC...but any time I carry more than one person it's technically illegal anyway

You certainly don't sound like you're 15...trust me, that's a good thing- Welcome to the IHoP
Hmm, with you I am not sure what that means. I would normally say I am going to go hog bush for a few hours. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> basically uber mowing. The bushhog i use can cut trees up to 2" thick. But we only have a little john deere 4100 and 3 blade bush hog. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And it's more fun because you probably don't have to worry about making it look as purdy as you do with a finish mower We've got a rear-mounted Woods finish deck on the Kubota, wouldn't want to take it through thick brush but it does leave a nice lawn-ish result- new member, don't know anything!
