I had the 2nd version of that for a while...pictures on my SIN gallery. Ran it with JAN new old stock 12AU7s, sounded lovely. Personally, I like a single stereo pot instead of dual mono attenuators, but it's a minor nit to pick. Bottlehead gear is really cool. I'm sort of stalking a Foreplay that's been hot rodded to hell on Audiogon (tube rectification, tube regulator, totally redesigned power supply)...figure I'll swap the attenuators for a nice stereo control and a balance pot. We shall see... There are others, they just don't post as much...and have some cool 12VDC mobile amps.

12.8V with the engine off? The fundamental issue is that the second battery never was properly connected to the alternator. Wire it in parallel or use an isolator, and I guarantee this funkiness goes away...
