A diesel LR Defender is out of the question, at least for another few years...priced nowhere near affordable...

Depending on how much I can make over the summer, next spring I might be looking at a replacement for the van....if I can find FJ40's in decent shape for $5k or so.

I bought a preamp from this brick & mortar place near Seattle advertising on Audiogon...advertised as cosmetically flawless. Receive the preamp yesterday, it's clearly seen better days, tube's basically worn out, scratches on the front panel...check minus. Still works, but probably worth $200 less than the ad suggested. Got this really nice guy on the phone, said it wasn't a problem to send it back and refund it...would even cover the cost of shipping back to them...sweet. They might not know how to write a classified ad, but at least their CS is decent.

I've been through that hell with a friend of mine...got hit by an off-duty cop that ran a red light. He didn't make it this long... Hope everything turns out alright...seems like he's already had luck on his side a few times.

We use to go for cici's pizza. All the pizza you can eat for 3.99 I'd knock down atleast 15 before I had to go. Did I mention we had a fire drill this morning? 10 flights of stairs down and then 10 back up cause the elevators are full. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's a Cici's back in NC that I'd go to...good when you're low on cash and want to stuff yourself.
