Work outside or something There's always a way...

You could solder in your dorm room...I did it last year a few times to repair chit. If you have a window fan, set it to full exhaust, and work carefully near the window.

You could simply go to Radioshack and get some perfboard for the Xovers...hot glue and zipties are all you really need.

They didn't have PCB's in the '30s, so you don't need them today for that Makes replacing components a hell of a lot easier when you don't have to worry about substrate traces or surface-mount components or chit like that Just solder and go... The benefits still outweigh the inconviences
