Lyme disease is very rare in NC, but we have the worst incidence rate for RMSF in the country...

At least I think it's just a deer tick, as it's smaller than a wood tick would be and we have a pucking herd of deer outside where I probably picked it up from.

Fuck...trying to dig out buried ticks just sucks. Just a good way to get myself bloody and I still don't think the damn thing is out.
  4. Well, at least the MDF doesn't scream like the undead like red oak did for the BIB's

    BTW, I'm 22

Avatar guy? Wait a second, has Dave been pucking with my profile again?

Dammit, now you've got me thinking... I need to do my research on those models

Well, maybe in a Tatra, not on a bike There's two R65s for sale pretty close to me...in my budget, too...I guess the big question is how much power do I need, whether 650cc is enough for mostly in-town riding or if I'd have to go up to 750. The longest rides I see happening is the 200 miles from NC to B'burg, but none of that would be on an interstate.

The F's look like glorified dirtbikes to me, you're thinking something like an older R series?

Just need to get more serious about asking around.

This discussion is part of why I get more serious about home audio and why whatever's in the vehicle is just "good enough". Sitting on my couch and enjoying a record is free, driving anywhere gets expensive I have about a $2k budget for a bike, but it's going to be hard to find what I want in that...guy in Raleigh's selling an '03 Bonneville that's basically set up exactly how I want it, just a little cosmetic paint work needed, but I don't think he'll take half of what he's asking for it.
  12. Ditch the rear speakers, they're unneeded. As far as what speakers to choose, zaphaudio.com is a good place to start getting familiar with the big names out there.
  13. I couldn't care less about what happens on either SMD or CS.com.
  14. I have my user name back now As long as they measure the same And Sundowns use a pretty tried-and-true topology, there won't be any sonic difference there.
  15. I doubt you'll be able to tell a difference in sound between similarly-measuring amplifiers of the same topology...I can't say I'd choose Sundown over any other company out there, but they're very nice amplifiers
  16. Happy bday! Oh, and you have a PM

    Aren't they great
  18. JimJ replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
I wouldn't mind if I got my user name back some day.

    RIP Bo Diddley
  20. If this isn't for a house, a full size cargo van or SUV I wouldn't bother...

Just make sure to wear the required hat. I had a roll of the green stuff not too long ago, it was narrower than the regular wide blue painter's tape and I found it at pucking Wally World, of all places.
  22. I hear your lol, and raise you a LMAO... ;) As for that power range, personally if I had my pick of amps I'd be looking at DLS, Arc, even older PG lines...even something as "new" as a Titanium series. There are a ton of really-well built amps in this neighborhood...
  23. I'd go sealed for that kind of app. "High bass" should be the domain of the midbass drivers, not the subwoofers.
  24. Light years better
