Welcome to the IHoP
Well the BIB's running off of 25W is damn near enough for volume and of course everyone wants the low end. so I thought, the maggies can handle up to 300W so I would assume they get louder then the current BIB's (yes I know assuming is bad lol) and why not stereo subs since everyone is so gah gah over sub notes. I'm trying to come up with an idea that can handle movies, satisfy the party itches and still be something thats a pleasure to listen too when I sit down to some Miles Davis, or whatever I may be listening to. Oh yeah, and the budget is not too big lol The later versions of those, the MGIIIB's, can take 750W without a sweat...

True, at the cost you'd actually pay walking into a dealer they're crazy, but if the guy already owned them...maybe he'd knock $40k or so off

The stock wheels actually look pretty tacky, which is surprising, there's room for improvement there- 35 hz too high for daily BL?
Depends on how picky you are, what kind of music you listen to and what your definition of "low bass" is. Just in my experience, the 35Hz-tuned enclosures I've heard weren't very good with low bass.- Hifonics question
I wouldn't bother with one...- Welcome to the IHoP

Dave Matthews Band - Live @ Central Park - Cortez the Killer- Now Playing!
Tift Merritt - Something to Me- sounddeadening front doors
If anything, I'd probably have the midbass IB and the midrange sealed in a smaller pod, the enclosure requirements should be a lot less. And the midrange would be more sensitive to placement than the midbass would be...- Welcome to the IHoP
Never had a problem with people breaking in, but I live on the 3rd floor so that's a little more difficult- Welcome to the IHoP

I see Dave lurking. wtfbbq, get back to work.- new fi btl speakers set up
Personally, I would probably try starting out with one of their other lines, say a Q with the BP power option or a BL, before stepping right up to a BTL... I wouldn't try running 3kW right out of the gate without some experience first, that kind of current can really ruin your day if you're not careful, but that's just me- Welcome to the IHoP
