One thing down, two more to do...

    DSOTM and earphones aren't compatible
  3. Heating up a sheet of plastic with a heat gun is nowhere near as involved as fiberglassing All that's literally involved is sticking the piece up to the metal and heating to conform to the panel...or if you have a relatively flat door like I do, I just used a combination of Liquid Nails to provide the initial tack to the metal, then CA to hold it in place. But having a solid surface really is helpful.
  4. What's the rest of the setup? I just see subwoofers mentioned....
  5. Yep even though I could beat you in drive by after a mexican dinner I would hope it's drive-by in that case, port wars would just be wrong for that
  6. For what it sounds like you're trying to do, I would really concentrate on the midbass first, the SSD is going to perform just fine in a regular sealed enclosure for you. The problem is once you start having the sub take over guitar parts, it's pulling your staging cues back...in real life, the bass guitarist is in front of you PR's certainly have their place, but I would leave them for very low tuned enclosures where the port lengths would get unwieldy.

Is that good or bad? We are at 93% right now. Each month we chew up more. Might have to bump the plan up again. = Bad Being in the top 100K of rankings doesn't come free
  10. I've seen things with 32 ohm impedances down to an 1/8th of an ohm As long as the amplifier is happy and you're getting enough volume, what impedance everything is at is secondary.

So I basically get an A and don't have to take the final in my Excel/VBA class just for answering a question in class That was...unexpected...
  12. I wouldn't bother with anything smaller than the 1/0 Hyperflex kit for a multi-amp setup like that.

http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?anl...&1214591177 Amazing deal. If I can find one like that in August when I'll actually be able to afford it, could be nice

    Home theater?
  15. I'd rather have the older Soundstream lines. They made some very good amps in the past, not so sure about the newer models.

Wonder if I can put a standard circular saw blade on it like my gas one and go after small saplings Electric yard tools just seem...silly...

Tomorrow afternoon is going to suck, but after that the week is basically empty.

  19. "Best" is a dangerous word, not quite sure I'd go there
  20. I saw a Z1 explode in front of me back at dB Drag Finals a few years ago...didn't exactly give me a great impression of them, though I'd love to hear that push/pull EL34 amp that costs $5k that they started building recently...
  21. There's a place on Ebay in Montreal that sells closed cell foam for poker tables. I've ordered from them before and the shipping was very fast, prices were very competitive...they have a bunch of different thicknesses and sizes.
  22. Josh, Claudia, Marshoo...good times
  23. +1 for not having sigs turned on...
