I just bought a coustic xm6 :woot I got eD mids, next amps, cdt tw 24 tweets, coustic xm6, new run of 1/0, ditro block, and all those other wiring goodies.

Did you check the owners manual on the other ones you posetd earlier? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i looked up the coustic xm-3 xm4 and and xm5 and it doesnt appear that they have the ability to bandpass the mids. I could be wrong though. The xm2 definitely cant and the xm4 has 2 hp's and one lp so it might and I have no clue as far as the xm 3. how can i tell if a crossover will work or not. I know that I need to bandpass the mids and hp the tweets but none of them seem to say whether or not they can do this. is an external crossover even that necessary for an active setup if you have enough crossovers on your amp and h u? Does it jsut make things easier?

Isn't that a little too much power for it? I was worried about giving it 1100 RMS from my Memphis 1000D. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i fyou kno wwhat you are doing and paly it wisely you should be fine. Just dont run it full tilt all day.

yeah they are all 2 ohm stable. I dont know why the stats arent provided but I know the vr 2.400 does 240x2 @ 2ohm or something around that.
