  1. Glad I asked then lol. I apologize. Looking for a single din. Knew I was forgetting something.
  2. Ssa just came out with the hellion. Power rating is 950wrms. Given your description, it may fit your needs better. I'm sure either one will sound great and have some good output on 600w as long as it is in the correct box. Maybe Aaron Clinton will chime in, as he has quite a bit more experience with those woofers. I myself am looking at the hellions. For the price, I am sure they would be hard to beat.
  3. Also, if you are just looking for another 8 inch woofer, but for some great output and sound, I would check out the ssa f8l. I haven't personally heard one, but I have read some great reviews about it! I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if my install needed something of that size.
  4. It also depends on how many voice coils the subwoofer has and also depends on how many subs you want to run. Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I would choose which subwoofer or woofers you want to go with, then worry about an amplifier.
  5. Looking for some recommendations for a head unit. So, what I will be working with is 4 evil1 tweets, 4 evil65 mids, and 2 nvx800.4 amps to power them. One amp will power all mids, and the other will power the tweets. 2 or 3 15 inch subs will come later. Almost decided on the hellions. But, anyways I want to run an active setup in my 96 jeep grand cherokee. I thought about using the amps crossovers instead of a head unit. I also considered an audio control matrix plus since I will be using y splinters and do not want to lose any rca output. What head unit would anyone recommend for this setup? Also, if using the nvx 800.4 crossover is a bad idea, is there another setup that would be better, hu, etc.?
  6. Thanks Randal Johnson. Alright sounds good Aaron. Seems like there is plenty of smart guys here to help me out with any questions I have.
  7. Might do the ic2200.1 instead then. Is it better to start a new thread or just ask questions in this thread?
  8. Thanks everyone for the welcoming! I know I'll enjoy them. Funny thing is I have no way to compare them to other speakers, since these are the very first mids and highs I will have bought. Regardless, I'm sure I will love them. They will be worlds better than the cheap stock speakers in my 97 chevy and 96 grand cherokee. Aaron Clinton, I was looking but I didn't see them in stock. I was thinking about going with 2 Jad1200.1's if they were available, just to keep amps the same brand. But, I may go with the Ic2200.1, instead of running 2 amps ya know.
  9. Thanks man! Might hook them up to my factory infinity amp just to take a quick listen. But they will be powered by a nvx jad 800.4. Hopefully I can get the other amp before sonic electronix runs out of em. Got the first one for $169.99 a week ago.
  10. Thanks Aaron. Can't wait to hear them! I'm stoked!
  11. Hey guy's! As the title states I am new to the forum. This is my first post on any forum, so....be easy on me on this post and future posts lol. So just wanted to say wassup and glad I found SSA! I have been reading threads on every sight imaginable, just reading and learning about the do's and don'ts of car audio. Also, a ton about different brands and all that good stuff. Stumbled upon SSA and heard nothing but awesome reviews and personal experiences with the company as a whole. Again, glad I found them! After drooling over pictures of several SSA products for 2 years, I finally purchased my first ssa products. Just got 4 evil 6.5 mids and they look awesome! They aren't hooked up yet, but I can't wait till I get them installed! Plan on getting 4 evil tweeters also to go with the evil mids. SSA subs are in my future, just unsure of which one's since my dreams of 2 Xcon 15's are gone, for now at least :(. But anyways, just wanted to say thanks for having me on the forum!
