  1. That Thing Should Be Hitting Way More Than 147dB's. Maybe The Whole Adding A Second Woofer Theory Is Correct.
  2. Those Cookies And That Glass Of Milk Are Straight Pwnage, Dude. xD
  3. I Never Heard A "No" On The Basket Colors >_> C'mon Scott, You Know You Wanna.
  4. ....Two Fi 18"s What? Which Ones? Goals? Budget? Watts? FIGURE THE DIMENSIONS OUT ON YOUR OWN, DO YOU HAVE A TAPE MEASURE?!?!?! :| Sorry, I'm Just Pissy Today. Get Your Max Dimensions, Then Come Back To Us When We Have Enough Info To Go By. If You Need The Box Built, Two Words: BJ Fisher. And What I Think:
  5. It Overheated And Died, Under No Power At All. I Was Taking A Gander At A Soundstream VIR-5000. Looks Nice, Has Alot Of Features, But I Need A Second Opinion. Soundstream VIR-5000
  6. That Sounds Wicked, Scott. >_> Now What About Custom Basket Colors? I'd Love A Blue One. xD
  7. Define Quality. Sound Quality? Or Solidly Built? If The Former, You Want The Q, If The Latter, Any Fi Will Do. Probably The Most Underrated Subs Out There In Terms Of Taking Abuse. You Won't Be Dissapointed With ANY Fi Product.
  8. Hey, Count Me In Jon. I'll Bring Some Sour Diesel, Too. Lmfao.
  9. ...>_> Shoulda Got The BL.
  10. ....That's The Second ODYo(a*&fRO9 Time I've Freaking Done That In A Day, I Need To FREAKING READ WTF HOW DOES AN 18" FIT IN A 2.5 CUBE BOX?!?!? >_< Sorry. xD Sundown SAZ-1000D And A Fi SSD 18" Would Be A Nice Combo With A Pound That Sound Box, Since They Reside In Canada, I Think. (On SSA's Store, The 1000D Is Like $300 After Added To Cart, And, As You Expect From Sundown, Of The Highest Quality Possible.)
  11. dbjunior Just Hit That One Square On The Head, I'd Do That. Especially If You Want An 18". xD
  12. As Long As It Isn't Any Maxxsonics Product Like Hifonics Or Crunch, I Think It'll Be Okay. Don't Get Boss Either. And Don't Get Offended, But I'm A Long-Time Competitor And Loather Of MTX. So MTX = And >_>
  13. Maybe I Should Read Before I Post. If You're Getting 2 Q 12's, Then That Should Be Fine. I'd Think About A Different Box Though. And Just To Clarify, The W6 Is Lightyears Away From A Q, Even In A Sealed Enclosure. I Had The Best Experience With My Q 18" In A Ported, Though. (I Had Three Different Boxes, 1 Sealed @ 5 cu. Ft., 2 Ported, One 8 Cubic Foot At 28hz And One 7 Cubic Foot At 32hz)
  14. Just Get The Q. It'll Rape A W7 When It Comes To Output. Let Alone A W6. And I'm Speaking From Personal Experience. Very Strong Bottom Octave SQ Woofer. But, I'd Get The 15" If You Have The Space.
  15. lol, no point in deadening anything at all then if you're going to be that lazy. Either do it right, or don't even do it. I feel the same way. You could be wise and loose the attitude aswell. ...Pwned. xD
  16. Well, My Kenwood Fried Itself. I'll Never Buy One Of Those Again. So, I Ask You, The SSA Audio Forum Public, For Near $250 Or Under, What Is The Best Possible HU For My Setup. I Like Clarity, But I Like Loud. The Components In My Sig Pretty Much Explain That. My Preferred Brand Is Eclipse But I'm Open To Others.
  17. Just Get A Powermaster Battery Off Of SSA's Shop Site, The First Price You See Isn't Final, When You Add It To Cart It Drops Significantly. Like: 21" IA Death Penalty Is Advertised At $700+, But It's $420 Really. I'd Get An Alt, But That's Coming From Me, And I Kinda Like To Be Loud All The Time With Minimal Stress On All Components. A MechMan 200A Or Iraggi Would Do. Glad You Stepped Out Of The Realm Of Mainstream Audio With The Alpines. Now Just Get Rid Of That Maxxsonics Made Clipping Machine.
  18. I'd Recommend A SAZ-1000D Or SAE-1200D, Those Type R's Can Take More Than 500 Watts Daily. And Sundown Is Synonomous With Best Quality. Glad You Decided Not To Buy ANY Maxxsonics Product. Now We'll Just Need To Break You From Alpine's Mainstream Audio Clutches One Day.
  19. Ugh. Kenwood. I Usually Try To Run Eclipse HU's. I Had A Kenwood Before. Overheated And Died After 19 Days Of Normal Use. And It Was Supposedly "Good".
  20. I'm Glad, Now I've Found A Smoking Buddy Near Me That I Can Beat The Block And Clear The Bong With. Highly Likely He Has An 15.3v MLA Module. Oh, And As Far As The Amp Situation. He's A Dumb@$$ If He Thinks That's A Bright Idea.
  21. That's Normally What I Do. Sub On 80hz Low And Midrange Woofers On 80hz High. Easier To Leave The SSF At 0, Or You Can Fack With It A Bit To Get Better Mixture.
  22. Wtf. I've Normally Ran My Gain At 100% At The Amp, But Only When I've Had Amps With Gain Control Knobs, And Weren't Overrated Clipping Machines Like Hifonics. Sundown FTW!
  23. #1 Rule: Never Buy A Prefab Box. Custom Made Or DIY Only. You Could Probably Just Go With One 15 BL With That Amount Of Space In A 3 - 3.5 Cubic Foot Box. The Whole 2 12" Or 2 10" Chit Is Just Getting Old, And With The Amount Of Output A Fi BL 15" Produces, Especially In A Car Such As That, One 15" Is More Than Enough. It's Always Badass When You're Flexing More And Being Louder Than A Guy With 2 12"'s Or 4 10"'s. Of Course, I'm Talking About People That Run Mainstream Audio Too. A Run-In With 2 Ten Inch Adire Brahmas Would Be Your Worst Nightmare, Even As Good As Fi Is.
  24. Hey BJ, I'm Going To Get Brian To Make Some Designs Up For Me, So We'll See How That Goes, But I'm Definitely Using You As The Builder. Damn Glad I Live In Kilgore So I Can Just Pick It Up Instead Of Pay Shipping For This Box And The 28 Cubic Foot Beast Im Gonna Need Later.
