great read, i read it awhile back when i first came across this site, now ur telling me i can do a 2 way active with the 100.4 so it would be 6" mids and tweets, so i would have to ditch all the other speakers? i would really like to do a 3 way as i already have all those speakers laying around and thanks i hope they sound good lol, ill be ordering them this week

wooohaaa i missed this lol anyway, ive thought about running a 3 way active set up and ditching the rear fill all together, only thing about that is im not sure if the 100.4 would be enough to power my mids because it will be seeing 8 ohms per chan. anyway i think im going to get these tweeters: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1466

budget for the amp is around 200-250, the kicker will be for the highs, i already have that one. i've been looking at some tweeters that already come with xovers... but im not too sure on which ones, ill post some links up later. anyway happy holidays!

i have that HU, well its the premier model but its the same thing..... no complaints here, bought it onlinecarstereo, ordered the pioneer and they sent me out the premier got it for around 175$

thanks everyone, well im a little confused right now! lol i need your help, i dont know what to buy next.... i have around 450 give or take some.... looking to either buy my amp for the mids, my sub woofer or buy a saz1500d... i would like a refurbed one from db-r but them dont have any in-stock, and i dont know if i can find a gently used one for a fair price. i guess ill just have to wait and see. anyway what do you guys think i should get next??? thanks!

oh and like i said on the other thread about the tweeters, ill probably be using a mtx ta7402 for mids, for highs im using a kicker kx150.2 should sound fairly loud

hahaha @ the bullet comment, i dont think ill be using them! lol im looking for some nice dome tweeters now... and thanks to everyone else, its actually a breeze to work on the rear deck it comes out lol, i just make a copy of the base of the originalt one and work on that, its pretty solid! it still need some more filler work and then ill either paint it satin black or wrap it in vinyl...

well heres my build.... im trying to get my sound stage set up before i do anything else, but sub stage will consist of a Fi BL15 and a sundown saz-1500d. anyway sound stage consist of 8 whip audio mids and a pair or two of tweeters. not sure yet.... well here are some pics REAR DECK BUILD here some pics of the speakers.... thats where im at with that.... my head unit cars a 2005 dodge stratus... i will start on the door pods for 2 6"s on each door as soon as it gets warmer outside and i finish the rear deck, then itll be on to sub stage....

looking to run them passive, powered by a kicker kx150.2... mids will be ran off another amp, not sure which one yet, was looking at an mtx ta7402...

i dont want two pairs of tweeters, i just want one pair, im replacing the mb quart tweeters that are there now because one of them doesnt work, the 6" i have are just the mids no tweeters heres a pic

hey everyone, love the site, i mostly lurk around and there's some really good info on here. well anyway on to my question, im looking to buy some tweeters to replace my old mb quart tweeters. would like them to blend in with my sound stage now and keep up when i upgrade it too, currently im running a 6" whip audio mid on each door and 2 for rear fill, itll soon be 2 on each door and 2 8"s and the 2 6"s for rear fill when im done with the pods.im not looking to spend more than 50-60 dollars, but if i have too i will lol. i mostly listen to reaggeton, rap and hip hop and sometimes some r&b. i would love to place them where i had my old tweeters, heres a pic.... thanks for the help! and happy holidays

ill have to give u a iou on the measurements, front stage consists of 4 6" whip audio mids (2 on each door) and 2 bullet tweeters, rear fill consists of 2 8" whip audio mids and 2 6" whip audio mids..... the car isnt finished yet but the amps would be a ta-7402 and a 150.2 kicker amp for highs. 300-400 is the budget for the sub i know that not enough for sub + amp

round 300-400 but its flexible ..... i can save up some more if i have too
