  1. hmmmm....and the bigger the box the higer the impedance rise? my 6ft ported @ 23 peakes at 3.3ohms. wonder why that is?
  2. hey i talked to a couple people and they all told me that you could enter the day of the show. so as soon as i get an adress i'll mail it to you. and you can meet us up there.
  3. WOW

the group buy is for dual 2's. that will give you a final load of .5ohm you'll need to get the dual 4's, for a final load of 1 ohm. and yes the RL-p's will rattle nuts!
  4. do you think you could maybe throw together a quick picture in paint so i can see what this reflection board is, that is oh so talked about...i can see it in my head...but it don't look right
  5. the 21st eh?? hmmmm...st charles isn't too far away from cape giardeau is it?? and jelly..u in st louis?? damn boy...we gotta get together..i'm just over 2hrs south of ur ass...lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> maybe about 3hrs...i live in alton...everyone knows where stl is, its easier ya i'm gonna call around tommorow and see whats up, cause i'd love to go to a show, and meet you guys.
  6. it doesn't really....but when ur playing tones and trying to break 150.... btw, here's my graph.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> man...your spike is over 6ohm!!! i feel lucky now. mine doesn't even get to 4ohm
  7. it WILL make a differance...how much? not likely to be that much, but maybe. the reason is when coils warm up (more power) the impedance goes up. the heat in the wire raises resistance...make sense?
  8. i'm gonna have to go with....fiberglass them in the roof but if not, in front of the tanks
  9. i have 750 a piece to my 15's and they do pretty good. i think they could take a bit more but the impedance rise is killing me. and yes i do know about impedance rise and i have a scope
  10. where's that comp at? i might have to roll down there. i've been wanting to get this new box metered. and for 2 me and you will kick rrybodys @ss!!
  11. reflection board...like a board in front?? internal loading???? and upping port area...you seen my box, ain't making that thing any bigger w/o doing a full blown wall the though has crossed my mind though..... in your experiance does tuning higher usually flatten the rise out or make it peakier? because i was thinking of getting inside my box with a saw/something, and cutting the port down, then adding a 4x4 to fill in some of the room, and try to get it to around 6ft^3net @ ~30. i've never had a box tuned this low before and i thought it would be cool as hell....but its kinda overkill for car, HT's a diff story but in the car i think i'd rather have my little hump in responce back.
  12. here's another question nick...if the above is true than what is this... i did another graph and went down to 11Hz this time. a couple are off the graph...11Hz=10ohm, 12Hz=12.9ohm, and 13Hz=6.83ohm. how would i flatten out the impedance? i know a diff box...but what aspect of the box changes what? ie. smaller port=peakier or smaller box = flatter...you get the point. here's the new graph...
  13. i wanted mine tuned that low for so long, now that i have it that low...i think it's a little overkill my box is tuned @ 23hz. don't get me wrong it will POUND out some low notes...but how many songs do you know that go under 30? if i do it again i'm gonna tune around 30-33 with more port;)
  14. the nine.1 does 900w @ 2 ohm? doesn't it? IMO 900w would be plenty for a single 15. and 1200@1ohm? ya, 600a piece would be loud, but i would try for a bigger amp if you plan on going 2...
  15. 151.1db i hit that in a 5ft net box tuned @ 37hz off a soundstream 1400d. i still need to get this box metered...you guys will be the first to know
  16. thats fine...go ahead.
  17. by the way, for the hair trick i was burping a 20Hz tone
  18. please fix!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> sorry, try that http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Various/rlphair.wmv

  20. i found a bunch of pics...so enjoy..... RL-p vs. RL-p XXX vs RL-p (i think mrray's) RE/HCCA hybrid RE8 whats left after my W0 vs 120v
  21. i got 750 a piece on mine. they wang pretty hard! but i think i'm gonna step it up a notch, i'm looking for an amp that does 2000-2500w. and gonna try giving them around 1200 a piece
  22. wow...they really do make good desktops!
  23. yeah... box>sony!!!!
