i got a new vid...its got the paper in the window, the pennies on the roof, the towel over the port, and on the window...as soon as my g/f's friend w/ the long hair gets here i'll get the hair trick, and i'll have it posted. in that old video i love the way the mirror looks like its just gonna fall off my friends vid w/ the xplod's...thursday night someone smashed in his back window and stole the box, subs, amp, h/u and other misc items. the police offered no help. well last night my friend noticed a trail of glass that led across the street. and recovered the box and a few misc items, out of the trash. i'll keep ya posted. but WTF, stupid @ss thief! trail of glass back to the pad...how fu(kin dumb! and the best part....the cops had no clue

so my box is tuned @ 49? cause i'll play tones all the way down to 20 and around 20-25 is where the cone almost stops, and it feals like i turned the a/c on max, thru the port

why is 23Hz odd? i though impedance was at its lowest at tuning? thats real sad about the big spike. you were pretty close with the .7625...it measures .8. i guess this is where the amps that keep a constant V at varing impedances shine. after seeing this i think i might look into a diff amp. i read somewhere that most (decent) amps will run .6ohm under rated...so looking at the graph would it be safe to assume that i would be ok getting an amp that does around 1200@2ohm. its sad cause i know my last box peaked (db) at 50Hz, and by ear this one sounds like its in the 40ish range....but up that high i'm lucky to be getting 250w a piece

so what exactly do i do with this graph now? i did all of this and have a graph. but what does it tell me? i now know my box is actually tuned @ 23Hz. but that is all. look at this and tell me what i'm looking for.

i got her carpeted today, it looks so much better and one of my stickers. ya i cut it up...but i don't want all the other crap. (no offense mike) but pictures of speakers, and www.blah.com and "exceptionaly blah, blah subs" what ever... once someone sits in my car, they'll know what the "S" stands for without all the other chit

well, i already re did it. i got the mdf doubled up. i don't wanna keep taking them in and out. if something happens to this one. dual 2x4's it is.

i would...but i would have to run it through the port. i got one pic before the batteries went dead on my camera. the brace broke again. this time i doubled up the mdf so i got a 1.5" thick brace.

today i got off work and didn't have anything to do so i went for a drive so i could listen to my chit LOUD. and i ran into a problem...it started making that horrible noise again! i think i broke the brace again. i still gotta check it out. i'll try to get some pics.

i get 1.08...but thats not including driver displacement... so probably around 1ft even

soon young grasshopper i wanna get it carpeted first. and my pr0n doesn't turn out to well cause of the compression, so i'm playing with that as we speak to see what i can do about a hi quality vid

fixed it it wasn't that it wasn't braced good enough... it wasn't braced at all! i put on the center section of the flush baffle and the sound didn't change, so i took it back off cause if it didn't help i didn't want it.( it looked out of place) so i took the sub out to start some internal bracing.... my brace had snapped. the sound was the two pieces vibrating together. and when i pushed on the baffle it pushed the two pieces together. it sounds fu(king awsome now!!!

volume and tuning i'm not so much worried about. i'm not gonna change it enough to be worried about. and yes, i'm positive its the box. its only on the low notes, when the pressure inside the box is the greatest. if you put your hand on the box (right in the middle) you can feel it flexing... and if i push down, and hold it still the horrible noise is gone.

ok guys...i got a slight problem. the baffle is still flexing a fair amount. enough that i can hear it what should i do. cant do all thread because of port. any other suggestions. i was thinking of cutting another brace and replacing the one that's in there w/ one that's about 1/4" longer and shove it in. that wouldn't adversly affect anything? having constant pressure on the baffle? i need some suggestions! if i can't get it to sound right i'm gonna scrap the whole thing, cause it ain't nice if is sounds like @ss

i cant find any 13" hubcaps that don't look cheap! and rims.... on that car...HA here is somepics. i'm gonna go out and get like a 1" dowel or two for the baffle. there is a little more flex than i was expecting it wouldn't fit in the car in one piece, so i put it all together except the top, 1 side, and the top port brace. slid it in, put the side on, then brace, then top. it went rather nicely, cause once in the car i could slide it around a little on only had to use a screw driver on like 2 screws with out any more jibber jabber.....

are you sure? i didn't think 1 sheet = that heavy its got 70in^2 port, same as the old box... its 1 foot bigger, and tuned 11Hz lower

for those of you who are wondering how it's gonna fit in the car.....

i don't know...its still missing the baffle, and some braces. plus two 40lb subs. i'm gonna guess the box to be around 60-70lbs. its almost 2 sheets of mdf.

i'm almost done. i didn't use any glue, cause if it won't fit threw the hatch, then i'm gonna have to put it togother in the car:( it is ~5.9ft^3@25Hz for my 2 RL-p 15's. it has to stay in the hatch(backseat has to stay functional), and with the side windows in the way, this is as close as a wall as i could get. enjoy! more tommorow

i figured out why my porn looked kinda crappy...it was the way i streamed it onto my computer...i did it again tonite @ 40fps and it looks amazing:D to bad none of you can see it, it ended up being 1.3 Gb :eek: but i captured a couple pics from the video that look pretty cool.....
