  1. no, surface mount. and its gonna have 2", from baffle to backseat. so 1" excursion, 3/4" frame/gasket. i'd be cuttin it awfully close, huh? maybe move it back 1/2" or something?
  2. i left about 1 1/2" clearance from the baffle to the backseat...do you think i'll need more than that? i don't want to build it, then cant use it i guess what i need to know is how far (from the baffle) will this thing come out? less that 1 1/2" (including frame)
  3. i played w/ the numbers a little. having the port fire up i couldn't get any bigger than 4.75ft net @ 35Hz, and i don't want to do that! so now i have 5ft net @ 28Hz, ported out the top. tell me what you think. p.s. this is a scale drawing. 1 box = 1 inch
  4. alot of people don't like the vid they say it don't move enough.... but i know better
  5. but then i would have to sink the sub even further below the rear seat its already half way there. it looks like i might be better off getting some 12's edit: but isn't the jl HO wedge kinda like this?
  6. never mind on the size questions...i messed with a couple of numbers that got me enough room but i have a diff question now here is a pic of what i'm getting ready to do.... i'm not done figuring every thing out yet. but this box is way bigger than the one i got now:) so i'm hoping for some where around 5-6ft tuned in the mid 20's;) now i'm trying to figure how to get a big port and the face isn't big enough. i thought about a big one then a couple corner triangle ones to gain on port area...but fu(k all that chit! so my question is on the bottom where there is a little 'ledge' would it be ok to have the port fire up across the sub? i'm worried about maybe some cancellation firing across like that:(
  7. does any one got a 15 sitting around (or any TC9 for that matter)they could measure for me. i'm trying to draw up a new box and its gonna be a tight fit :up2somet: so what i need is how far down does the basket come? you know the spoke that comes strait down. how wide is the motor? and mounting depth? i think i can get this one, but just in case.
  8. try that http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Sou...ter/rlp15.6.wmv
  9. i got a good one today i sealed the port from the inside...so i now have 5 cubes sealed http://www.realmofexcursion.com/vid...ter/rlp15.6.wmv
  10. kinda like the dub7...small and simple
  11. is that the biggest you'd run with that much power? i was thinking around 5ft. around 2.5 per sub
  12. screw it..... just leave it off
  13. elaborate..... i've got them ran off of my EGA1400d. i set the gains w/ an o-scope and measured around 1600w so thats around 750-800w a piece i've got to give them. what size box would you go with? i want it to pound down to 20Hz
  14. which box (in your opinion) would be better suited for my 2 RL-p's? a 5ft sealed or 5ft net ported @ 36Hz? listening to my setup for a while (ported@36) i noticed that it peaks alot more than my boxes tuned @ 30 and i'm kinda missing my LOW notes. if i tune the ported box lower, it will drop the net lower than 5, with recommended at 2.5/per i dont want to go lower than that. so what do you think?
  15. now that would be fu(kin sweet!!
  16. 3000 might be pushin it.i've heard of them takin 1200 a piece, but 1500 might be a little much. just don't crank the gain and you should be fine. what kind/size enclosure?
  17. good news i broke out the alcohol and q-tips and cleaned of the rubber 'roller' that 'grabs' the cd's and pulls them in and out... and now it ejects!!! turns out it was just dirty
  18. what is that? is that the 2000 or the 3000?
  19. Sorry, but the logo is definitely orange. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> huh, i swear mine is more red than orange
  20. i hate terminal cups...they either leak or rattle! that is a nice box!!!
  21. adjust the color on your monitor.....the logo on the sub is red i voted logo, cause thats what i got
  22. i wish i could send it to you! i'd have it back in a week tops!
  23. i will of had it installed for 1 week tommorow, and the cd's don't eject anymore:( i am kinda dissapointed i think next week its getting shipped to pioneer, does anyone know the turnaround at pioneer? i hope not long, my rl-p's will be sad sitting in a closet
  24. how would a rl-p tuned that low in a car sound? good luck on the HT setup... nice choice on the drivers
  25. and the 15's get even lower..lol.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
