  1. Have you added up the costs of all these things?
  2. x2 Why don't you just start out with something like that and then upgrade if you really feel the need to be louder.
  3. Dude to tell you the truth I think you would be a happy camper on (1) 18" BTL and a SAZ-3000D. But that's just my opinion. I don't know how many systems you have heard or owned. Have you ever heard a real 150-160db system?
  4. Sweet, nice job! How big is it? Tuned to?
  5. ^^^ Are you being sarcastic? I have also been told this, I'm wondering if I need to run the power and RCA cables on different sides because of interference.
  6. That's pretty interesting. I went up to my local car stereo place yesterday after school looking for a wiring kit. And there was a guy there named Mike, with a old beatup workvan. I asked the owner of the shop if I could hear a loud system and he said hold on, Mike is in the back helping a customer but give him a minute and he will demo his van for you. He told me he did a 158 @ 30hz on the termlab.... Boy did I get excited. Turns out he has (8) 15" Memphis M1's, not sure on the power. He popped in hypnotize by jeezy... Breathing is hard, blinking is hard, your vision blurs, it makes you sick almost.
  7. I already have most of those songs on my ipod but I will check out the ones I don't have! Just got bored and took a pic of the internals. Pretty beefy for a little 750. Hopefully installing in the next day or so! :bigclap:
  8. I vote 2 18's walled with 4-6k power.
  9. Probably going to go ahead and put the sub and amp in soon. And the 4 channel will be picked up in the next week or two and that will be installed when I get it. Haha I'll be sure to put some videos up when I get the sub in. Recommend some songs for me to play!
  10. Seems like this build is extremely slow compared to others here, but hey I'm just piecing things together a little at a time. Got the amp here. zx750.1 +1 for 860rms @ 2ohms
  11. Well then it sounds like the amp slowly killed it with a clipped signal or overexcursion.
  12. a ssf @ 35hz shouldn't be what killed your sub I don't think. My SSD is making a weird noise but I think its because I have it temporarily hooked up to my home stereo.
  13. Alright thanks for the help guys I ordered it last night. Its only a couple states up from here so hopefully it gets here in 3-4 days if there are no complications.
  14. Alright, its a brand new Zx750.1 for only $225 shipped. Does it seem like a good deal?
  15. Anybody ever ordered anything from here before? Its a store on ebay. I'm about to order my Zx750.1 from here and I was hoping for a little feedback.
  16. To the guy above me. It looks like he used a jigsaw, but you can use a router as well. And by the way the build looks great dude. looks like you have put a lot of work into it. Can't wait to see it finished!
  17. Sooooooo this isn't going to damage my sub right?
  18. Ah your probably right. My receiver has no subsonic filter or anything. And you can hear the vocals through the sub when I have my bookshelf speakers off, I don't know if that is normal or not.
  19. Alright I'll try it when I wake up tomorrow.
  20. I thought that Fi put the tinsel leads under the spiders to stop the tinsel slap? I'll check anyways, and my box is pretty solid I believe. Will any of these things hurt my sub? edit: no it isn't coming from the port, I can tell its coming from the sub. and its more like a wobble type of rattle in the sub, its not like slap.
  21. I actually don't think it was clipping at all. My receiver wasn't hot at all and the sub wasn't hot either. I'm sure I could give it more power without it clipping I just didn't know what was causing the noise so I didn't want to damage it. What is dust cap slap and box clap?
  22. Yes somewhat. Tuning is determined by the port length, width, height.
  23. Well if you have the room go for 4-4.5cuft @ 30-32 hz. I would say 14-16 square inches of port per cubic foot.
  24. 3.5 cuft @ 33hz I was thinking maybe the enclosure was flexing and causing the noise but idk..
