  1. Right on, even more helpfull info thanks yet again.
  2. Thats funny you say that because I have some extra fatmat kicking around and had the same thought you had originally. I'll def. be going the spectrum sludge route.
  3. I just said that because you seem unwilling to post the pics required by SSA and the price, you'll have a hard time selling them on this site without adjusting either two of those things. FYI photbucket is VERY easy to use and free, plus it has tons of things you can do with your photo's using their software, you really should check it out. www.photobucket.com
  4. Thanks thats exactly the info. I was looking for, when I start making more $ I'm gonna have to start paying you for all the help you give me man! lol I'm kind of bummed that the Damplifier did nothing though, however with the amount of rattle it has it doesn't suprise me it didn't work.
  5. I noticed when testing outside of the car that there is a horrid metal vibration coming from the undercarriage. In case your sigs. are turned off I drive an '07 Scion Tc. My question is what should I do about it? Should I remove it or put some deadener on it like dynamat or fatmat (I refuse to use damplifier pro on outside of car (-: ) It's more then the usual body panel sound it's a high pitch rattle that I can't stand for others to hear. Shizzon, what did you do about this piece? Thanks in advance for replies / ideas.
  6. you seem uninterested in selling your sub...
  7. My suggestion would be prayer, oh and voodoo LOL or concrete. No matter what you expect to have to replace all the weather stripping each year and be constantly re tightening screws and thats just for starters.
  8. Do you honestly think I would run 20,000 watts off a stock alt. and the batteries I already have? LMFAO I am prob. going to step up to 18 volts, remove my A/C and put an extra alt. there and have my system completely isolated from the rest of the cars electrical... for starters. Forget elcetrical for a second and realize that I'll have to prob. upgrade my suspension among other things to handle the weight of all the batteries and huge enclosure I'll be putting in, I already swapped out my tires to a tire rated for extra weight. I am running no wall next year and don't plan on having my arse handed to me, I won't do anything half-assed if I can't do it right I won't do it.
  9. lol your kidding right?
  10. both of them? with cavy and mitsu one in each?
  11. who's running the A classes next year?
  12. Ya hopefully next season I'll have my 2 XXX-15's and 20,000 watts and we'll have a painfully loud club :-P
  13. Ya the club will finally be spread out amongst several classes. Maximum Team points :-)
  14. If Brice doesn't show for A1 you and me in A1 + A2? FTW lol will be weird you not im my class for the 1st time all year.
  15. monster 18's like that ALWAYS turn heads, its almost too bad the motors will be hidden inside the enclosure, I want pics before they go into their home.
  16. I just want to certify my new score amd see how much the extra deadener I put in since last test helped. Plus I want to see that 400 hp Saturn Sky redline, that thing looks insane.
  17. sweet, you gonna have Dave build the enclosure? Or haven't thought that far ahead?
  18. Nice man! Can't wait to see and hear them, nobody has 18's around here, about time somebody has rocks them. I have a digital video cam. we'll have to post up some vids of the madness. Are you running just them or keeping the 15's as well? I'd assume that if your with Team DC you can only run DC subs, but you know what they say about ass-u-me 'n :-)
  19. NOOOOO don't say that! Fort. this is New England so the weather chages not just daily but hourly as well. Now I got to go check the weather. Thought this show was rain or shine? I can't go ANOTHER week without competing!
  20. WOW this is a huge step for you, I thought you'd NEVER get rid of the kickers. Craig told me he thought you'd have sex with the kicker 15's you just got lol. I'm proud your opening your horizons to different brands to accomplish your goals. Those DC's are monsters, do you already have an inside track to get with them?
  21. Oh ya, megavan I saw 2 posts in a row from you saying your are in the process of buying 2 Fi 18's and then 2 DC level 5 18's, are you gettng both?? Or did you mean your window shopping these two brands? Cuz if you are thinking about buying 2 of each I think thats a bad idea, pick a brand and spec. model and run just those don't mix them. There's alot of reason for this, I can tell ya if need.
  22. Not necessarily. A 100 watt amplifier in full clip will never blow a 1000 watt subwoofer. To the OP, enough power for what? To drive them to potential? Yes. To blow them? Also yes. Thats true, I should have been more specific. I know him and some of his goals so I made a statement that applied to him, my bad. That said a 100w amp in full clip on a 1000w sub would sound like garbage even thought it wouldn't blow it IMO :-) Like nails down a chalk board to me.
  23. There is no such thing as under powering a subwoofer, its a myth. IMO the only reason anyone has a problem with giving a sub alot less then its rated power is they try to turn it up too much and clip the ch*it out of the amp giving tons of distortion to the sub which will destroy even the toughest sub eventually.
  24. He doesn't replace everything BUT he does fix everything needed and often upgrades other parts. He also has excellent customer service. I have heard this and seen it 1st hand through clamped testing that the amps he refurbs. leave his shop stronger then the day they were built. The fact Jacob authorized him should tell you alot and if I am not mistaken db-r is now the official refurbisher for stesom amps as well. -'nuff said in my opinion
  25. Very clean, I love the logo I am a fan of sublty (with respect to installs not bass of course).
