I have been using a stock HU with a LO convertor.... and I want to get the most out of my system. Problem is, I have a tahoe and I don't want to kill the functionality of onstar / anything else. What I want is a touch screen radio that is reliable and has good eq adjustments. I also need to plug my Ipod into it..... nav isn't really needed but it would be nice too. I was wondering if any of you would have some suggestions? Thanks

I was just wondering how backed up you were.... I know it took almost no time to get 2 sets of bl's 3 months ago. Was wondering if it could possibly be the same this time around . Not to jack this thread... but I just read my 18's because I am about to ship them out to seller. They were ~1.2... it was the same way on my 12's though so I guess this is normal? Also when leaving the leads connected and pushing the cone down the level bounces around dramatically.

Was wondering if anyone on here could offer me a reaonable design for a btl 18 for free. I have a guy at the car audio forums that has always done mine for a small fee (they are reasonable). BTL 18 Tuned to ~30 hz. ~ 5-6 feet ^3 48 inches wide... and max of 24 inches high.

I am going to redo my truck..... I was tired of not having space in the back of my truck. Therefore I decided to go with 1 BTL 18. Using same amp/electrical/etc. Here are pictures of the pull out.... All of them lined up

Hey.... I recently sold my BL 18'S and want to either go with a BTL 18 or an re xxx 18. I am wondering which would be better in my application..... mainly spl oriented set up to be used daily. I must say I loved my bl's and don't know much about RE subs. Thanks

I am considering 2 btl 12's at .5 as well. Which way is the best route to go, I vote to hear from bigjon. I just want lowwwww and I don't want a lot of space taken up. I wouldn't want just 1 bl, that would be a waste of a 3kd.( 5 cubic feet is low compared to existing. )

It would be the minimum 5 ft ^3 I am currently stuck with a 12 foot ^3 box.

Due to the need for space in the back of my truck, I am forced to downsize. Currently I have 2 fi bl 18's installed. What should I do? [scenario 1] I have 2 fi bl 12's that I purchased along with the 18's and haven't touched them yet. So I would just make a box for them and put it in. [scenario 2] I would remove 1 18 and build a new box [scenario 3] I would sell both of my 18 inch bl's and buy a single 18 inch BTL and use it. Which way would be the loudest? Subs up, port back. Sundown audio 3kd. So the main question would be, will I still get the lows with 12's that I get with 18's? And would an 18 inch BTL be louder than 2 12 inch BL's? Help is appreciated

I say just lay it down with some cheap fans blowing air through. Looks neater that way and seems as though it would perform better.

Into a terminal in the sub? You don't have to do two..... Into the amp outputs? I used 4 gauge for my speaker wire and I used distribution blocks.

Took some covers off looking for screws... was able to find 0. There is no obvious way to take them off... also tried a small bit of prying to no result.

I have been too scared to even start on removing my door panels to complete my install and put in some mid bass drivers / tweets. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with 07 / 08 tahoes / avalanches and knew the right way to take the door panels / pillars out without breaking anything. After searching around for a while I couldn't find anything. I really don't want to mess it up too much.... it's basically brand new. (like 18's won't vibrate it apart anyway)..... Any help would be appreciated.
