i had a company that does car audio install and tune everything. they did all that. i DEFF put this in the wrong section. SORRY! basically i would just like to know if i should make changes to the tuning and if so what. also if im ok to turn it up and really listen to it.

i have a 12in SSD, hifonics 1208d amp (i know, i know). i have the hu settings as follows: sub level 10 out of 15. bass on 0 (-7/+7). then on the amp the bass eq is set around halfway, and the subsonic is set around 27-28 i believe. when i have the gains about 3/4's and the volume around 20/35, i start smelling WOOD. im like 95% sure its wood, and not glue from the sub. but i haven't heard of anyone else say anything about this. am i just a noob or what? im afraid to turn mine up cause of this. also, how much of an effect does all this have on the battery and alt? i have all stock wiring and plan to do big 3, just haven't got the money yet. i baby it most of the time. if anyone can give me any help that would be awesome! thanks guys!

i HAVE to have mine on even's, EXCEPT 5's. like 2, 4, 5, 6. i usually have mine between 15-20.

thats what i thought. but then i started thinking, more watts are rated at 1 then 2 or 4 ohms, so i wasn't sure.

is 1 ohm louder then anything else? i was told this by a kid at school. if you need any other info let me know, im at a loss as to what else to say. haha. newb i know...

AIM is not lame. Better than MSN, IMO, because you don't get stupid random "add me" wants from sex or singles sites or whatever. Lame would be if you still had ICQ. oh i see. ive never had a problem with AIM and ive had it forever, just seemed like yahoo or something was better. guess ill stick with it.

i went and checked this place out, and WOW! these guys know what they are doing, and do top notch work. i talked to Tyler and he designed me a box i never even thought of! i can't wait to have my stuff done. Tyler said ranked 3rd in the nation for dB drags and 7th in the world!?

when i hook up my sub to the terminal i take the 2 wires from the black and twist them together and put them in the black terminal right? then the same for red?

After you get your box built, you'll just have to show them what an "internet brand" can do. And why you'll keep buying them! X2. Also I think we need to do a IN-KY car audio meet in the summer or something. that would be cool. Southern IN and KY have a lot of similarities. my local shop is sketchy of Fi as well.

alright. can i just use a lot of electrical tape and the black pipe looking wire loom to get the 2 ends of the power wire back together where the fuse is now?

well, i already split the wire all the way under the back seat, so what should i do? i really dont wanna go buy all new power wire. i did have the terminals with the split, so i guess ill just buy more. none of this has worked out how i wanted it to.
