  2. this build is awesome! im 16 as well, and i have my 12in SSD sitting in my room waiting on my buddy to build me my box. after reading what you said about yours, i CANT WAIT! awesome job man!
  3. ****! i ordered my sub not too long ago. would have LOVED to have red. Awesome idea though!
  4. thats pretty cool. i race 4-wheelers.
  5. i came over here after bein on ca for like a week, i couldn't stand it. those guys are ***holes and never give you a serious answer.
  6. because i already have the sub and i have no idea what that means. ah so really your "buddy" was you. Anyways, the other part of my statement still applies. if you already have the 1206, there's no reason to change it. yeah, i just asked the question for him. i have the 12 ssd with 1208 and he was ordering his stuff and wanted to know if he should get the 1608 or not. thanks for lettin me know that though.
  7. because i already have the sub and i have no idea what that means.
  8. man you got that right those amps are SEX! i already have the 1208 and d1 sub, so there's no changing it.
  9. i have fi ssd 12's in the trunk of a benz and they will make you feel like somone is sticking a pencil in your ear. if you have the right box the right power fi's will walk all over dual. hell put them in the same box they will still sound better. i put my fi's in a box that was too small until i could make my own and they still were loud as hell and deep! i have heard the dual speakers and they are just cheap flea market crap...all of 'em!! exactly what i was lookin for. thanks.
  10. alright sweet thanks. i have the BP on mine, so you think i should send my 1208 back and just get the 1608?
  11. anyone else know for a fact the Fi will rape 2 duals? and that the Fi can be heard from a distance?
  12. sounds good. thanks!
  13. my buddy is goin with a 12inch fi ssd d1 fw coil, bp power, would it be worth upgrading to the 1608d or will the 1208d be jsut fine?
  14. Sounds like 2 flea market woofers in a bandpass box. I would put my money on the Fi. i just learned something. thanks.
  15. thanks for all the tips guys. your a lot more helpful then ca.com. i got something amusing for all of you. my buddy has 2 10inch duals, in a plexi ported box. he's thinkin about going with the same set-up as me, and doesn't think it will be louder or hit harder. am i correct in telling him that the Fi will rape it? and he always wants to know if the Fi can be heard from distance?
  16. ok. so basically just keep it wired at 2 ohms.
  17. alright sweet. thanks a lot!
  18. alright i been lookin around on here and reading. ive heard the hifonics are awesome, but junk as well. and ive also read that with this set-up, the amp is prone to overheating? how much can the Fi SSD handle continuous, and about how much does the amp really push?
  19. oh ok i see. that amp puts 900 watts at 2 ohms, so i shouldn't have anything to worry about since the amp wont do 100% rated power right? and as long as i dont overdo the gain? what should that be set at?
  20. alright. the box 2 cubes tuned at around 33 if that makes any difference.
  21. alright thanks.
  22. alright. thanks for the tip. but keep it in the negatives!? and if i have this stuff hooked up, i can turn everything down to where you wont even realize the sub is there right?
  23. well i mean if it only pushes 700 and the sub can handle at least a 1000...
