  1. I engine brake, coasting is hard on brakes. Engine breaking also shuts off the injectors. Throwing it into Neutral will remove all ability to accelerate in emergency situations.
  2. I get 30-33mpg in my Spec V all the time. Hope he can get 36 out of a 1.8 or 2.0.
  3. Haven't got any rain since winter here. Really really dry. I am surprised none of the systems we have been getting are heading East. It rained enough in the past few hours that the City shut some streets down and the storm drains are backing up. Oh well, it guess it's good for the crops and will refill the Oldman resevoir. Further south, they have gotten some rain, most of those storms have skipped Sask & hit Manitoba/MN/WI?Northern ON. My parents' farm has gotten 2 inches last weekend. Where I am right now is ~60km from the NWT border.

  5. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/saskatchewan/stor...apids-fire.html That's where I am right now, the fire is BIG. So big, it is making its own wind now.
  6. I hope you don't have a lot of winter driving, the difference from fwd to rwd is huge. FWD in the winter is easy. Just know how to use your ebrake in emergencies.
  7. Haven't read everything in detail but you can wire 2 MAW10's for 1 ohm (dual 4 IIRC) the box says 2*2ohm, but when I wired them in parallel they read 2ohms each, so that means they're dual 4ohm. So either the box is wrong or we got sold the wrong sub... after I wired them they read 2ohms each, so after hooking them up to the amp, that should have been a 1ohm final load which is what I thought it was when installing and also what I tuned it for... After he went back to college station I looked at the sub box and it said they were 2*2ohm so I freaked and thought they were wired to 0.5ohm but the box is wrong I guess. thanks again for all the help. I get paranoid as fudge when it's not my vehicle and I think I did something wrong... The box does not state the correct impedance. The website states dual 4 ohm only.
  8. The MAW-10s are dual 4 ohm.

  15. A moron just sent an email to all 7000 employees of the company, subject of no importance to anyone. Another moron just replied. Last time this happened, it went on for weeks & the originator was fired
