  3. Box faces towards the rear, cone faces that way as well. Maybe you should re-read, since it says not one word about a corner.
  4. PHASERS! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> TASERS!
  5. AGREED
  6. Gays have the right idea until the pole hits the hole. I can deal with drama.... its the mindlessness I cannot stand. Might explain why I am coming on 2 years of singleness. If I was more acceptable, that would not be the case. But, then again, I would have to care.
  7. First box I built 8 years ago was made of particle board & plywood. Everyone learns from making mistakes. What you make of those mistakes matters most.
  8. I see no titties. Yes, I joke.
  9. You use a torrent program such as ABC Then you use a torrent searcher such as www.torrentspy.com Search for song/album, d/l it, open with the torrent program, start downloading, and enjoy.
  10. If I didn't have too many projects already on the go, I would be in this like a necrophiliac at the morgue. But, alas, I will have to watch this from the sidelines.
  11. I don't mind them, but the bandwagon needs to die.
  12. Its a Canuck thing eh. Personally, Oilers>all
  13. hmm, i think your enter key is sticking.
  14. Hmm, I missed Canuck Thanksgiving (Oct 10), so when I finally got home from being on the road, my parents drove 4 hours, and brought me the full turkey dinner.

  17. Those email viruses are getting funnier and funnier. I wonder how many people fall for this one? Included was a .zip
  18. I have a painted logoless D2
  19. Thanks for the links, I understood the gain but based on what I see maybe I will measure it anyway. The question I really had, I should have worded better. If I have generically a gain of 10dB at 30Hz, should I then design the enclosure to be 10dB down at 30Hz and only look at that number or are there other factors you take into account. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lots of other factors.... sub location, materials used in interior construction, subwoofer itself, shape of interior, etc. You can only guess soo much with the enclosure, make it the best, most educated guess possible, but only your ears & RTA will give you the feedback that will make it perfect. As far as what you have right now, it is as good as it can get without doing the good ol' trial & error.
  20. I just picked myself up a decent 26" Toshiba widescreen tv... no more 1983 RCA XL-100 tv for me!
  21. http://www.caraudiohelp.com/newsletter/cabin_gain.htm Some testing: http://basszone.stryke.com/deonspace/cabin.html The larger the vehicle, lower the frequency at which cabin gain occurs. So... for example, in your M5, I would expect the cabin gain to be at ~30Hz, where in my Neon, it is around ~40Hz. Use this thought to design your enclosure for optimum flatness. Usually cabin gain is around 10dB-15dB, dependant of course on shape of the interior, and materials used in the construction.
  22. Looked at ca.com for the first time in a while... I see chinny got his ass banned. Good... I blocked that half-wit months ago from my aim, had enough with his half-witted msg's and asking me the same damn questions over and over and over again.
  23. Ca.com treats everyone with common sense like chit, it's where all the idiots go to congregate. This place you will like much much more.
