1.5 ohms from 2 d4 12's? wtf?
Impedance is an AC measurement of resistance. You were measuring DCR (dc resistance). Since the dcr of the sub is around 3 ohms... that is the normal reading.

odd sub box desighn?
Nope, port lengths don't get halved. So do you want bandpass then? If that is the case, I don't guarantee anything... bandpass is more trial and error than not, and you probably don't even have the space to hold a properly sized bandpass. If you want all the output from the sub to go into the cabin, I'd recommend you to have the the sub face forward, and COMPLETELY seal the trunk from the cabin, and then port the box into the cabin.

odd sub box desighn?
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...wtopic=2978&hl= SQ will be excellent as usual with the RL-p. Using a design like this, you will notice more output though.

odd sub box desighn?
Same reason you are... and alot of people without fold down seats are. More bass into the cabin Shoot me an email with your max dimensions, etc, unless they are the same as before... [email protected] I'll get to it after I get home from work tonight.

odd sub box desighn?
Could do... I am actually planning on doing this exact thing in the Neon BTW, you won't need that much port. Dual 4" PVC will be sufficient

A few general questions
If I had the cash, I would be rocking one of these right now http://www.crutchfield.com/S-HzE8m7HUH2i/c...20&I=049RAA1000

A few general questions
You don't need to add any more space than 12.5" around the sub. The 1.5" I gave is the space needed for cone excursion, or from the cone to the nearest surface. The other 1.5" is the space between the magnet and nearest surface within the enclosure.

A few general questions
Not sure what you mean here.

A few general questions
1) Outside diameter measures to be ~12.5" 2) Personally, I shoot for at least 1.5". 3) Downfiring seems to be a good method in a truck. 4) I would leave 1.25-1.5" since the Xmax is just about 1" 5) Airspace is airspace, to an extent, but, if you have a small 1" tube to join two spaces, then you may run into some problem. 6) No idea
