Welcome to the IHoP
Faceplate might be not quite on right. My D310 & old 7894 both do that when the faceplate isn't on completely right

I'm here, catching up
Low power handling isn't that much of an issue if you are using them as midrange, as you do not need as much power to make those frequencies loud to the ear.

Front stage work
If you have a good front end, you may not need subs Have a look at my build log for an example of a front end that will use subs as filler, not the emphasis.

Anyone Familiar With These??
Jantzen does work with Dynaudio (looks like it too!) & I have seen a couple things about the Aurum on DIYAudio, but I have not heard either.

If there is no RCAs hooked to the amp... the amp ground is bad, or it is amp related.

2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ
Picture of the kick, with NS-3 & grill installed.. and the door pod with grill placed. I need black head screws, yes. Best part is I can still use my dead pedal, and my leg is not restricted to the clutch. Also VERY comfortable to rest my leg up against the pod.

Ya... midbass ftmfw Kick panel is done too.. just waiting for that mdf ring I made to dry (painted black) & it I'll get a picture. I get to Regina every couple of months too... once it is done demos will be done.- 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ
Neil, they are mounted to the door via some 1/2" bolts & nuts. Solid as hell. Completed driver's side door pod: Pictured with the kick, kick needs some more filler: Kick is sized large in case I want to step up to a larger midrange than 3". Passenger side door work I did a week ago: I might just goo-gone the bottom of the door plastic & leave as is instead of covering it.- Welcome to the IHoP
One door pod completed... pics uploading. See build log.- Welcome to the IHoP
You = Impala Me = Sentra lol Just spent $150 on supplies & suede.- Front stage work
Rear speakers? Gross. JBL makes a 6ch. with 75x6. DIY for drivers, who needs passives when you have 6 channels of amplification for a front end? Much much better options for drivers when you do it yourself. You can find some cheap crossovers that can do 3 way active front end (4 way w/sub). Other more expensive options are the H701, P9 combo, etc etc. www.madisound.com www.partsexpress.com- Optimum enclosure...........?
take the " off of the end...- price adjustment

Read a review on the 9887.. sounds promising. I'm glad Alpine decided to bring out Bass Engine Pro again.- 4 mj 18's
In car? Haven't seen it yet. In home? Plenty of times, usually IB though. I'd suspect you'd need around 20ft^3 after displacements ported.- Welcome to the IHoP

No big deal Neil... better to sell it than wait for me to make up my mind.- Welcome to the IHoP
Ya... I know Should have the driver's side kick & pod covered today... and the passenger side pod glassed up & ready for finishing.- Welcome to the IHoP
Contemplating if I should buy Neil's XJ-15 or not. I don't think I'll need the output, but it might be nice to show these SPL minded people what IB can do for output lol - 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V: Project Spec-SQ
