6.5" Coaxial speaker (2 or 3 way)
I've heard in a few forums that some guys put a light stuffing of poly fill in their door panels, for what reason i don't know. Can anyone explain if this helps or hurt the speaker's performance. Thanks

6.5" Coaxial speaker (2 or 3 way)
Thank you for the reply. I have placed 1/4" MDF baffles behind each speaker but as far as deadening, to what extent should I add deadener to get better sound from my current speakers? Should I also seal all the holes in the door panel?

6.5" Coaxial speaker (2 or 3 way)
Am trying to find a good set of coaxial speaker for my truck. I replaced my factory speakers with ome kicker DS6.5s and they sounded better than the factory but am looking for a lil more sound. Am looking to spend around $80-100 a pair. I just want to replace not to install pods, etc. I will be running them off of my pioneer head unit (50 watts per channel). I would like a lil bass from my door speakers because it is lacking big time currently. Any suggestions on a nice pair? Thanks

Which Driver For My Application
My current enclosure is 2.1 cu.ft net vol. (correction from the original post). Will a light stuffing of polyfill be necessary for a lower response or will this enclosure be find if I decided to go with the DCONs? This is the max size that I will be able to fit back there. I know some will say get a single 10 or 12 and go ported, but I prefer the sealed sound. I listen to mostly old school reggae for the most part with a touch of rap hear and there. I normally listen to singers like Jacob miller, Dennis brown, Freddie Macgregor, king jammy (dj), etc. Thanks

How long before you try them out? I would really appreciate your feedback on those. The budget was shipped price, the SA-12 is $195 shipped, IA LI-12 is $190 shipped (from a rep.) compared to the GCON which is $239 shipped. There is a decent price difference there when there are 2 woofers involved.

Which Driver For My Application
Hey guy, am putting together a system for my ride which is a 2003 dodge Dakota Ext. Cab. Am planning on running 2 12" sealed in a 2.5 cu.ft (Net) enclosure because am a big guy and I don't have the additional space to go ported. Am debating whether to go with the Incriminator Audio LI 12 or the Sundown SA-12. I will be running the Sundown SAX or SAZ 1200D amp. Am done with the Big 3 upgrade, and am using a UPS12-490MR battery to power my vehicle off of a stock alternator which is around 130 amp @ 3000 RPM, hopefully this will be enough to prevent dimming. I haven't had any subwoofer experience with any of the 2 brands mentioned but from what I have read, both drivers are great in ported applications. I can't seem to find much on sealed applications so am hoping that guys that have ran these woofers sealed would chime in. What am really looking to find out is which drive tends to performs better in a sealed application. Some drivers are design for both other designed for either or, but these 2 drivers say that there designed for both. Am not trying to get into a this driver verses that driver thread because I know that both are great drivers, period. All am simply wanting is some feedback on how these drivers perform in a sealed enclosure. If there are other quality drivers in the same price range ($150 - $190) @ 600 watts a piece, please feel free to share. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
