  1. Am trying to find out which Bass Remote Control i would need for the older JLe1800 or a1800 amps? Thanks
  2. Am getting the Quad Cab. So it is possible, Is it possible for you to send a drawing of how i can do this? Thanks
  3. Cool, thanks for the input
  4. I currently have 2 fi q 15s in my dakota and am now getting a Ram 1500. Is it possible to get these sub in there or will i have to settle for what everone else is doing and go with two 10's?
  5. OK since the fi Q or an ssa icon will be the sub that i go with, would the jl 500/1v2, AQ 1200d or the Hifonics 1600 be a better suit for either sub. A friend got me thinking about the other two amps.
  6. Ok guys, my brother's b-day is coming up and he's heading out to college, and am wanting to put a setup in the car he's getting. What am wanting to know is which sub would produce good SQ and also get a little loud, and in that order. Am looking at either the 15' Q from Fi, or the 15' Level 4 from DC sound lab? Either will be ported on a AQ1200d. Help me out guys
  7. Two questions 1) Does the AQ2200 have a regulated power supply? 2) Would the AQ2200 be able to run 2 FI Q 15's with BP power, or would that be too much power for the subs? Thanks
  8. I have narrowed it down to either the Batcap 3000 or the Kinetik HC 2400. Any suggestions? Thanks
  9. 1) Would a 2400 fit under the hood of a dakota? 1) Would you go with a kinetik or batcap battery?
  10. Am running 2 FI 15 inch Q's with BP power on an AQ 2000 watt amp in a 2000 dodge dakota. I upgraded to a high output alternator (230 max output, i had it tested), and i have already completed the big 3 with 1/0 gauge wire. I am presently using a 850 CCA battery in the hood and have no space for a battery inside the truck. I am currently experiencing diming and since am not interested in using a Cap, i was woundering if i took out that battery and replace it with a kinetik 2000 or 2400 watts battery, would that solve the problem? Thanks
  11. I notice tonight that my volt gauge in my truck drops all the way down while the bass hits and return when it stops. Although this happens, the amp does not shut off or go into protect. I know that ill have to add another battery but will this hurt the amp or the subs. If there was not enough power for the amp, i thought that the amp would shut off. Why didnt this happen? This may have been the answer to the problem i asked about earlier also. What do you guys think?
  12. I know that you say that the amp output is just an estimate, but i got the BP Power option which should add 200-500 watts to each woofer. At a min. thats 2400 watts rms (both subs) on a 2200 watts rms amp (AQ2200D). I used a volt meter and set the gain an the bass boost knob doesnt show that i am clipping. I was always told, even here on this forum that u should match your HU output. If thats not right, then how do i set my gain? These subs are SQ subs, but they do deliver when it comes down to SPL, cant complain in that area. Is there any other reason for this happening???
  13. I have 2 fi Q 15's (w/ BP Power) in a sealed enclosure (seperate chambers) in a 2000 dodge dakota. Each chamber is 2.5 cu.ft after all displacment. I have my gain set on my amp (AQ2200D) to 4 V the same as the output of my head unit (Pioneer AVH-P5050DVD). My bass boss is all the way down, and so is my subsonic filter. The max vol. on this unit is 40 but i usually listen to my music with the vol. set to about 24-26. I just installed the system about three days ago so am still "breaking in the subs." On my way to work lastnight, i could smell whats seemed to be something buring. All my bass levels are set to either 0 or normal. Is there any reason for this to happen. I know sometimes after installing new subs, you can detect a smell coming from the subs, usually the glue, etc. from the manufacturing process, but i am not sure what is going on. Can anyone give me some insight on what i may need to double check? By the way these subs are amazing, got to love FI!!!!! Any helpful input is welcome. Thanks
  14. I was given this unit for a gift thats why i have this one.
  15. If everyone focuses on spelling and it seems like you gays i mean you guys do (with the exception of the previous post) then you should turn this into a spelling and grammar site. But if this is a car audio site and i thought that it was, then lets do car audio and leave the simple chit for simple people. I hope everyting is spelled correctlly for everyone worried about it, lol

I would also take a look at the Audioque amps. Does rated power, great price and great customer service. But that just me. Good luck with everything.
  17. Thanks a lot crf450r4u2nv, thats exactly what i was looking for. We need more people who just answer the questions being asked. I agree that i misused words, but thanks for all the help and input.
  18. 1100 watts for 1 Q 15 and 2200 watts for 2 Q 15's
  19. wats da deal with the Pioneer AVHP5050DVD unit, Cant find info nowhere on it.
  20. I didnt get the answer that i was looking for as yet so ill ask these two questions: 1) Which would get louder, 1 Q 15 ported in a 4 cu.ft tune @ 28 Hz, or will 2 15's sealed? 2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of having either a port or a sealed enclosure? (Please explain) Thanks for the input
  21. ok thanks, nice build, similar to the one i made. Thanks again.
