  1. AQ2200 is a pretty good amp. Ive got one running 2 Fi Q 15"
  2. wof131s replied to dub26z's topic in General Audio
AQ is a great company that puts out quality products. I have had my AQ2200 now for alittle over a year and a half, and that beast gives my two 15" Fi Q with BP powerr all that they can handle. I give them my vote.
  3. I understand that, but everyone also has an opinion on what they hear. Some ppl may say it sucks others may say its a ok woofer and someone else may say its the best woofer they have ever heard. Like you said everyone has their preferences, thats the group of ppl that the question was geared towards. I just wanted to get an unbias opinion from a large group of ppl who have already heard the woofer. This was the reason why i didnt list any of any preference, i wanted to heard what others have to say about the woofer, thats it.
  4. Just did it and works pretty good.
  5. It should be around 750 watts at 4 ohm. Shouldn't hurt anything, research your amp alittle more to see if anyone else is doing it, but I dought it. But if it is a 1 ohm stable amp and you have the electrical just gets a new sub(s) (if you dont already have) that can be wired at 1 ohm and can take the full power of the amp(s).
  6. Have any of you guys heard them? How do they sound in terms of SQ or are they just geared towards getting loud? I read some reviews but they were from ppl that are running them. I wanted to get a larger unbias populations opinion. Thanks
  7. Great subs, great customer service, all around great company.
  8. Building your own enclosure is a great experience and in my opinion, the way to go. The reason for saying this is because you can come up with your own custom design that no one else has, that is once you've got the hang of it. Just ask questions and get the needed info on the how 2s and you will enjoy it, but be carefull because its addictive.
  9. Hey Scott whats up? I have a few questions for you on a design that i am putting together. I emailed a few times 2-3 weeks back but didnt get a response as yet. Is there any other form of contact? I tried to PM you but it didnt work. Hit me back when you get a chance. Thanks
  10. I take it you have already installed your system. How do those sound? I was thinking on getting 2 15" but didnt hear much about the REVO always the LMS.
  11. Thanks for the HELPFUL info Sir-Lancelot, thats all i was trying to find out.
  12. , but next time uses are own words instead of famous rappers lines. U pretty good at telling ppl whatever you want so just do that.
  13. I aint asking you to. I always look around before i come here, but yet always get some like this.
  14. Can anyone help me find out which Deka Intimidator battey is equal to or better than the Kinetik HC2000 battery? An running a AQ 2200 amp, the big 3 is done and I have a 200 amp HO alt. One of the 2 listed will be used as a secondary. Thanks
  15. i thought the q sounded good ported. thats just my opinion though. I thought so also, ive own 2 15". I was asking jfin1204 why he felt differently. But would that port configuration work?
  16. Your the 2nd person that I heard said that the Q doesnt work well in ported enclosures which is different from what i've heard. Have you tested in both enclosures? The Z15 and Q are rated at the same rms power, is the Z15 more musically or produces more SPL? Why does Z15 > Q?
  17. Do you feel that the Q will play the lower end better than a lvl 4 in a 7 cu.ft enclosure tuned to 28-30Hz (Three 4" ports 13"-15.8" long will be used )?
  18. Thats cool, thanks for the heads up. ill take a look at it and see if it will help me with some new ideas. Am 6"8" so am needing a lot of space for myself. Trying to find the best was to increase box volume.
  19. I know that the enclosure is one of the more important items in an audio system, but wouldn't some woffers hadle the lower end better than others. I understand that enclosure is important but so is your choice of equipment. Thats the information that am trying to get, what equipment is better for a low end application.
  20. Anything
  21. OK, I just got rid of my last setup and looking to start new. I have $1000.00 to work with for subs and amp(s). I already have an upgraded electrical system (Stock Battery, Kinetik HC 2000, 230 amp HO alt. and the Big 3 done with 0 gauge). Now, am looking at 4 different subs and still up in the air on amps. I have 8 cb.ft to work b4 any displacement. So am thinking of running two 12" ported or 2 15" ported that doesn't need a lot of space to operate. For subs, am wanting a LOW END MONSTER with ok high end. Am currently looking at the DC lvl 4 or XL (Depending on price and amp), IA Death Row, FI BL, or the AQ HDC3 subs, but am still open to suggestions. As for amps, i was looking at the AQ 2200 or AQ3500 depending on the subs i go with, but still open to suggestions. Like i said, am leaning more towards the lower end than the high end, but I ALSO WANT TO SOUND GOOD DOING IT. I know that I may get the "flip a coin" bid, but if you or anyone you know are running any of these products chime in and let me know what you think. I really want to do it big this time around. Thanks in advance for your response.
  22. I've been looking through different build logs and was woundering if anyone has posted a build log for like a 2000 dakota ext. cab with 2 15"as yet. I was just wanting some extra ideas about designs before i finalize the one i currently have I,ve seen BASSAHAULIC's build but i think he ran 18"s. Thanks for the Input?
  23. Run two 200 amp ANL fuses. Worked for me
