  1. No, but am heading there now to get one. What do i do from there?
  2. I hope that am in the right section for this post, if not, am sorry admin. I have been trying to post a drawing up so that i could get some feedback on it with no luck. Can someone steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. If the glue holds the wood together tight, why wouldnt leaving the screws in be even stronger?
  4. I think that the Q's would handle the low end a lot better than the SSD's but the SSD's would probably be a bit louder than the Q's. But dont take that statement for granted because the Q's in the right enclosure can get crazy loud. Just my opinion.
  5. Found a store that sells it for $23.00. Thanks
  6. Where can i find either of these? LOWE'S maybe?
  7. Ive got my dimension sorted out, wasnt as hard as I was making it to be Thanks guys. Another question, I was going to uses 3/4" MDF plywood but it just so heavy with the size enclosure and woofers that I have. Does anyone know of another option of a lighter plywood that is as effective as the MDF. I was wanting to get the materials so that i can get this done this weekend. Thanks in advance.
  8. Ok I think i got it now. Thank you guys for all your help and input. Hopefully i would messup any more of my designs. Thanks again.
  9. Can you give me an example?
  10. So where it says enter enclosure volume (cu.ft), is this the total volume minus the subwoofer displacement only (net volume)? If so then the calculator take into account the port displacement and gives you the total volume of the enclosure after all displacement?
  11. Lets say you have a 6.0 cu.ft. box and you have woofer displacement of .38 cu.ft. Now you have a net volume of 5.62 cu.ft. before port displacement. How do you know how to calculate the port length if you dont know the exact box size since port displacement have to be considered. I know how to calculate port displacement but i am not sure about calulating port length with a changing box volume as the port size vary. Can someone help me understand how this is done please. I know to some of you this is a dumb question but am just looking for some help and wanting to understand how its done and not mess up any more designs. Looked through the forum but couldnt find the info i needed. Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. So if I run a 0 gauge from the alternator to the rear battery and run a 0 gauge from the negative terminal of the front battery to the rear battery I wouldnt get the same affect?
  13. When using 2 batteries, what wiring setup is the best way to get the most out of both batteries? Thanks in advance.
  14. OK thanks for all the input guys.
  15. Am I ok with these parameters??
  16. Ok, thanks. I am still taking opinions on the asked topic, but would 5.5 cu.ft be ok or should i just go sealed? Am wanting the Low bass more than anything, but still want to hit decent Highs. Thanks
  17. Ok, I Have the Pioneer AVH-P5000 HU, an AQ-2200 amp, and 2 Fi Q 15s that are in a 5.5 cu.ft ported enclosure after all displacement that is tuned to 35 Hz. The HU has a RAC output of 4 Volts so i match that voltage as close as possible (3.9V). I tuned my enclosure to 35Hz so my Subsonic level is set to 30Hz. I know that the gain is the most important setting to any amp, followed by the Subsonic filter if you have a ported enclosure. Now am trying to find out how to set my Bass Boost and Low Pass Filter. I looked through the forum found info on the Gain and Subsonic filter but couldnt find anything on the BB or LPF. Are they just set by ear or do they have parameters. Can you guys help me please or send me to a link with the info.? Thanks in advance.
  18. Can anyone give me the woofer displacement for the DC sound lab lvl4 and lvl4XL please? Thanks a lot
  19. The comparison was the Fi Q vs Incriminator Audio Death Row not the Death Penalty vs RE Audio SX and i was also told about DC LVL 4 or 4XL were pretty good subs. I haven't build the box yet but am wanting to build the box around those parameters. I am wanting something that will get loud but sound good doing, i just dont want to have loud music and no type of quality to it, and sound like shit.
  20. Jay-Cee if it is then just move on to another topic, why try start something? Just let guys like Bigrack916 with something to offer say what it is they have to say. Anyway, the amp that am using is the AQ2200D. Am willing to spend around $600.00 for both. Am looking for a beffy, musical sub that will get real low in but is decent on the high end. I am using an enclosure that is about 4.5 - 5 cu.ft tuned around 30 -35Hz. These two subs were the ones that i were refered along with the RE Audio SX, but am open to opinions.
  21. Incriminator Audio Death Row or Fi Q. Looking for powerful lows, solid high end. Basically an all around sub that dominates the low end. Planning on running 2 12"s ported? Thanks for the input.
  22. LOL. a wee bit goes a long way in car audio man. thank you
