im not gonna go sealed thats a crappy prefab i had left over from my first system, im about to sell the prefab for $30, and build a new ported one.....how does 5cubes before displ. (3.8 after) tuned to 33Hz w/ 70sq. in of port sound?u think that would be enough??i'll post the drawings ive made of it.....really the only thing he has on me is his # of pics, i do like his sub amp though, i dont like his subs,hu, or mid/high amp..the neons dont help either....

what about (1) lanzar max8 or max10 with a profile ha400 amp (200x1), or a directed 1104<--?not sure on the # its on the zeb for like $29, with the same profile amp??

i just daisy chain mine...no problems so far.....

i've already installed a pioneer 1600 deck w/ pioneer 6.5's in the back....(walmart was sellin 4 pio 6.5's w/ the 1600 deck for $100) i would replace the stock 4.6's with my old pio's, but i can't figure how to get to em...any input???

what kind of subs are the dd's? spl, LSQ??aren't the higher dd's all out spl subs??

what would u guys think of just 1 10", or 8" in a ported box tuned to around 32-34??just a thought to make it cheaper....

everybody IS doing installs w/ 8's, but how many people in ur area are doing it?<installing 8's, not "doing it" lol???im thinkin bout a single 8" setup w/200rms, tuned to around 34....

when i read the topic name "pics of the magnum" i was thinkin of the sub...thats ok it wasn't a let down though, nice car.....

try lookin them up and finding the specs on them, then designing a box to fit ur car.ported sq is usually from 25-30Hz, LSQ is 30-35, and spl is 35+ (usually 45-50 tops) having never heard those before i can't recommend a box for them, sorry and welcome to ssaudio.....

ok, i just went out and measured again, i think im just gonna build a 3 cube sealed box and push both of them w/ my hifonics...any ideas on how to customize it???it's gonna be covered in black felt, with an amp rack on the back of the box, displaying my hifonics, and a speaker amp (gotta buy one though).....thanks again for all the help.

i've heard these subs suck in sealed boxes from other people who've had them, but i think they're pretty damm loud.....for a 2 sub setup I have one of the loudest systems around here (small town bout 35,000)

i just hooked it up @ 2 ohms and it took it fine in my sealed prefab....(bout 1.5 per sub) with the gains 1/4 ways up....think it'll take it in a ported box???

but aren't hifonics amps overrated @ everything except 1 ohm??at least thats what i've heard. I've also heard that even @ 1 ohm, they only do around 1300rms...my car has the stock alternator, and drops down to about 11 w/ my h/u on superbass,and with the volume at around 30/50....other than that it stays right around 13.5-14.4......would that help or hurt my choice of runnin it at 2 ohms ("1000" rms)
