  1. 4 BL 12's for me
  2. What's your total internal capacity? And what would you like the box tuned too?
  3. If your amp is indeed .5 ohm stable, than the sub woofer will be just fine. You wire both of the positive wires to the positive on the amp and the same for the negatives to the negative on the amp.
  4. An isolator only really gives you the benefit of playing the stereo with the car off and still being able to start the car after you're done.

All four coils or both subs?
  6. Did some more digging. Looks like impedance changes when you fade left to right. Presenting an ever fluctuating ohm load. One speaker acts as a ground and the other as a positive L and R. http://www.audioasylum.com/scripts/t.pl?f=...ge&m=122267 http://www.geocities.com/quadaudio/page13VariousVariety.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadraphonic#Hafler_circuit Crazy stuff, I need to read MOAR!
  7. Lethal Injection Death Row Death Penalty What's the FL again? And is the Warden coming soon?
  8. It's more complicated than that. It's almost like strapping two amps together.. but then again not. You're forcing the amp to send power to itself, except with a huge resistor in the way. Essentially putting most of the sound out of phase.
  9. Crossover is the Alpine PXA-H701 coupled to my IVA-W205 screen.
  10. Two of the D2904/6000-01 28mm dome tweeter, neo magnet And two of the W18NX-001 (E0042) Nextel cone 7" woofer At least they're pretty
  11. It depends on what you like personally. A ported box can "hit" just as fast as a sealed box. and vice versa.
  12. Is that a gigantic subwoofer sized hole in your drivers door? Did you do that? What's it for?
  13. Sounds like it's just phasing the stereo mix out and letting the abnormalities of a song through. Theoretically, you wouldn't have any cancellation with the fronts because the speakers are already canceling out most of the sound. At least that's how I understand it working. Dunno if judges would like that or not. Depends on how much he/she likes the "cool" factor that day.
  14. Stereo repair man is correct! You can use an isolator when you want to play the stereo with the car off to prevent the stereo from draining the starting batt.
  15. I'd recommend going sealed with it as well. Especially the Mag if you go that route.
  16. 2 12's would better handle the power you have. I'd add the BP power option to be safe as well.
  17. The BTL is made as an SPL competition sub. Since you want to actually listen to music and show off for people, that's why I recommended the BL.
  18. This isn't an Fi question. Moving to Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors
  19. I would go for Fi BL's or SSA ICON's. You don't really need what the BTL will give you, and the Q's (while they sound good) won't get as loud as the BL can.
  20. Moving to SPL & SQ / Competition & Fabrication
  21. hahaha, I don't know how I skipped over that part in the specs.
  22. Unless you're competing on a daily basis, I doubt you'll miss the .5v you're losing. And .5 is being generous, it's probably less than that.
