Just get a beefier starting battery up front. 1/0awg to a rear distro and feed your amps from there. You won't need the cap. Big 3 will help as well. Moving to Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors

Search on ebay to see if you can just find a cheap set of component crossovers that someone isn't using. Like from a Pioneer or MTX etc cheap component set. If you're on a budget and you just want a better blend out of stock speakers, this is the way to go. I've done it in a stock Civic with great success.

Phase should stay the same.. I don't recall ever switching phase on other strapped amps.

You'll probably need to tune a bit lower to make up what you may lose by porting and tuning forward. Can you fit a box tuned at 29-30hz in your car?

The BL's will hit 30hz just fine. If you want LOUD 30hz... step over to the Q.

Its been down and up over the past 6 months.

BP doesn't add any noticeable sound. It just adds power handling.

If you clip your amp, yes you can still burn your sub up.

I'll agree with Jacob on the smoothness of the DLS tweets. The Focal gear is also very nice. CDT tweets are a little harsh for me, but you might find them appealing. On a purchase this expensive, it would probably worth wile to find a dealer and set up a listening interview. I would highly recommend this.
