  1. Fi delivers once again.
  2. Sometimes you just need other people to help your thought process along a little lol
  3. That would work fine.
  4. If you're on a budget, the packaged deal that the SSA shop offers on the ICON and the Sundown SAE-1000D would be good for you. Save some money on both amp and speaker.
  5. that or replace the rear deck speakers with mini subs. Or pull out some of the trunk insulation.

Cool, since you're in the theme of wasting money... spread the love my friend. I need a few things.
  7. Are you porting the box or running sealed? If you're porting, I would go with the ICON. Due to the size you have listed though, it looks like you want to run sealed. Which is a shame, because the ICON's shine when put in a properly sized ported enclosure. I sincerely doubt you will beat the W7 in output with a sealed box.
  8. Not if you get a proper sized alternator, which he doesn't even need since the goal sounds like he just wants more juice for the system.
  9. You won't get good quality music streamed from any website. The amount of bandwidth they use is extremely small equalling very low bitrates. Go buy the CD.
  10. Oh man, that's going to be such an easy fix. Don't even fret it. You need a new fender, bumper and headlight from what the pictures show. You'll probably end up making money on this deal if you buy the parts yourself and shop smart. I've had to go through this before, trust me... it looks worse than it really is.

Wow. Thats great customer service, and standing behind your product. That's ignorant. Have you ever heard of quality control? Did you think about the fact that perhaps the W6 has evolved from previous generations to the point where it isn't economical to keep old parts in stock just in the case that someone blows up their 8 year old W6. edited because I'm an ass.
  12. 1) yes 2) no 3) yes
  13. Switch to halogen?
  14. If you're anything like the rest of us, you'll upgrade sooner or later. Buy big now, you'll want it later.
  15. I can help with that  Time line of events - :5shots: :5shots:
  16. Replace the ballast. Sonic waves can damage them.
  17. he had the setup installed by some "professionals" and i'm sure what he ment by cranking it is he's turning his volume up. to the OP: do you have an aftermarket head unit? if so what kind? pioneers are known to give a chitty grounding noise in the RCAs that is audible at even no volume, but i don't think that is what is cause your amp to cut out. check all your wiring. remove the subs for any loose connections. I rest my case.
  18. How about you actually set the gains in accordance to how much the sub can handle this time? The proper way is to use an oscilliscope, but since not everyone has one, you can use a DMM as well.
  19. I'd go for the ATH-AD700 personally, or the ATH-M40FS. A couple other decent ones are the ATH-AD500, and the ATH-A55.
  20. When you turn the amp up all the way it clips and goes into protection... what did you think was going to happen when you turned it up all the way?
  21. Link us to the amp.
  22. Pics of the truck would help. Especially interior pics. Does he have an access cab with the suicide doors? or is it a quad cab?
