yeah its an 18" and its going in a 9 cubic foot box

that help so much so what I have is: A.) 8" B.) 13" C.) 9.25" I'm assuming the corner going from b to c is a square of 8". last question is how to calculate the square inches. if I need 144 sq inches and I am over is that a big deal? oh and I just got my BL today that is why I have the sudden burst of "I need to build my box"

Will somebody please explain to me where the length of the port is. In order for my box to be tuned to 32Hz it has to be 22.5" long but which piece of the box is it? is it C or B?

In order to get a 1 ohm load out of the 2OHM DVC, I wire the two negative terminals together with speaker wire coming out of one of them, and both the positive terminals with speaker wire coming out of the same set that the negative came out of right?

this might help it matches pretty close to what danieln_88 was saying. I still don't know where the length is. so if anyone could label my picture above it would help a lot

oh yeah when I was trying to research box designs and what not one of the more recent topics has the guy choosing SPL because it sounded cool. everyone makes mistakes but if you are a n00b to subwoofers it can cost you. I may be a n00b to installing sound systems because I have never done one, but I do know what is what... or at least I am learning. I have a good understanding of basically everything that needs to go into getting good output out of a sub and the difference between blowing out your windows and still hearing the highs and having the lows hit hard at the same time

I got the 18" dual 2 ohm, cooling, and daily. I didn't get the flatwind because I read on this forum somewhere that it is preferably used for SPL application.

I don't see how that is achievable in the box I am designing. if the width is 8" and then length is 33" thats 41" witch is over my width. is there a better way you can explain it? or even better draw it?

I shall... so to attain 32Hz the port length should be? sorry I have so many questions. a few years from now I will look back and see how much of an idiot I am for not knowing these seemingly simple questions.
