very nice read bro! like chris mentioned, it's awesome to learn things in a hobby one loves, and in my case, provides my income as well. also, how does one build a box around these things? i've heard of building a box twords a specific imedence rise, or one that controls it, so that you stay at or around the impedence your amplifiers crave. this is for competition purposes of course. i mean, is it just trial and error in playing with box volume? or can a decent program, like bb6p, actually forecast this with reliable accuracy? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

since ryan2 brought up his ache and pains, i'll bring upmine. maybe you guys will have an answer to getting rid of it. last year, someof you might remember, i had a blue hair run a stop sign in front of me causing me to lay down the scoot. bruised shoulder and pinched nerve in my neck were results of the wreck, as well as the $8k in damage/labor to the bike. anyway, while the shoulder and pinched nerve are fixed, i have a constant knot in my neck at the point of the nerve pinch. it never goes away, even with a good massage. i know it's muscle, but i'm wondering could it be a muscle that was damaged and healed wrong? is that possible? i know broken bones can heal improperly, but can muscle tissue? if so, what can be done to fix it? yeah, kinda goofy, but i have to ask. ryan2, could you have angina? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i have one of the first rl-p 12s, black anodized cone, it's a few years old now. it's seen 2500wrms on occasion, mostly lived life with between 750-1200. not a single issue. no cone/ surround seperating, nothing. i also own the very first rl-i8 sold to the public. again, it's seen several times it's rated power, up to 1700wrms for brief moments, and to this date, not a single issue. so, while you did indeed have bad luck, they aren't in no way POS subs. like adrian mentioned, there was an issue with prep, but nothing to do with mike or ss. and his subs (like early eDuhs) are made by tc sounds, who had another run in with cone/ surround seperations. email mike though, i'm sure you two will work something out, though it is out of warranty and at this point, really isn't mike's responsiblity. good luck. these are awesome drivers and it's sad to hear a customer have an issue. but mike is indeed a very standup guy, one with few equals. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
