howdy peoples... ryan, i will get that amp shipped out before this weekend...fucking work is a mess.... we have a 2007 h1 alpha getting dropped of monday...we have two weeks for a complete custom install....feels like american hotrod around the freaking shop...every custom install (which seems to be alot) has a very quick deadline... did a solo x 12, in the kicker tuner box, off a mc1500d in an explorer sportrac.....took out the little side rear seat and built an enclosure to go in there....downfiring, with rear firing port... sorry no pics..i was too damn hot and tired to snap any.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

??? Did something happen in shipping? It was in perfect condition when it left my place and I insured it since it wasn't mine. they are simply markd on the case at the set screws, nothing damaging. i think they will rub off, just too lazy to try. as to the 300c running your tweets, yeah, it would have settled them down for sure. it did in my case...they sounded much warmer, less harsh off the 300c then they do in thier daily enviroment. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if that's all your going by, then the mt isn't your sub either. not dogging the mt, it's a beast....but if it can't handle 2500 clipped watts.... and that is indeed it's downfall...while very loud, it's not very durable compared to it's competitors. examples... pair of 10" solo x's driven daily and used in competition..between 5kwrms and 10kwrms daily (dpepnding on how he feels, only subs he has every blown? dual 2 versions...???) pair of 12" solo x's 4kwrms daily 18" solo x 4 kwmrs daily pair of 12 solo x's used in competition and daily...over 6kwrms.... and i can go on.....and when i say daily, i mean cranked constantly....the 18 hardly gets a break as we demo the truck for everyone. the 12's on 4k and the 18 are the only two recieving less then the subs rated rms power. no, re is good, but there is better. kyle..send me a 4hp...any size...if it'll show a 2 ohm load, i've got 2.5kwrms and 3.6kwrms to throw at it...if it shows a 1 ohm final load..lol.....about the same..maybe even a bit more for giggles....i'll get a number... sides..i'm bored.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

they are very nice units. reliable and IMO, good looking. i wished we installed more of them at work. i personally run the dxz955mc and absolutely love it. the bad thing about clarion is simply features for price compared to other brands. otherwise, they are just as good, if not better then anyone else out there, model for model. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if that's the hissing...or whatever, lol...yeah. it did seem to have more of an "affect" on the sound when on mids/highs. i want to say it's kinda of a "fuzzy" sound, not really distortion, but you know there is something in the sound. makes it sound "old". what's cool was i was able to compare it to a SS home system...same speakers, different enviroments. the SS was much crisper, but not necessarly a better sound. the tweets weren't nearly as harsh on the tu300c as they are with the SS jvc bookshelf. the mids are nice with both...the tu300c is definitely alot more power, even though his bookshelf is rated the same. really shoved those dayton's around, as well as the LA sub (tc9 based driver). really, really performed like a much bigger amp. so did i like it? yep! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

well, it goes like this.... after looking at the amp for awhile now...i'd definitely install it rightside up, with a mirror underneath. that way one could see the beauty all the way around. performance was nice. pushed both sub and mids/tweets the way an amp should. never really got hot and just kept going. performs much stronger then it's rated, at least by ear. sound quality, well, as we knew, that's subjective. on the sub, it was flawless. on the mids, i had a low volume hiss that never went away and never got any louder. jim was saying that lower sensivity speakers probably wouldn't pick it up, and you had to be right on top of the ones i used to hear it anyway. after that, this thing is pretty damn clean. definitely a sweet product. thanks for letting me play with it. i'm impressed. the build quality is old school us amps, teh performance is the same! i actually like the look better. defintely something i'd recommend. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
