  1. run 0 guage wires. it's a straight forward process.. if you wanted, you could run 0 guage from the battery to a distro block and from that go to your alternator and factory battery cable. as far as the negative side goes...ground the battery to the frame in the back. you will also want to fuse/ circuit breaker the power wire from back to front.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. HBD bro! hope you have a good one! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. nah..though i have thought about a 113 kit for mine. in reality, the 95 i have is more then enough to play around... and besides, i like the idea of a 131 thug better..hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. no, though the boy seems to think i need either a 1000rr or a zx14r personally, 120mph feels pretty much the same as 155mph (the fastest i've been on a bike) and i really have no need for 200mph...lol...and i don't have the restraint to keep from doing it if the bike is capable. i've got an old pic of me on my old katana somewhere..i need to dig that up...lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. yeah...tnt choppers (dealership i hang out at) has a independence softail prostreet..240 rear tire and 96" s&s (the bmc using a revtech)...but it lists for almost $22k...and i have 95" under my seat now..lol... and the holligan only comes in a rigid but was fun anyways..hehe vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. sounds like a shitton of fun justin...lol... i caught a decent high yesterday...but somewhat legal..hehe test rode a 125" bmc (big mike's choppers) holligan rigid...over 125rwhp and 135ftlbs of torque....on a 550pd bike. with me and gas, right at 800pds. OMFG..hehe..thank god it has no speedo! that thing flat out gets it! i owned two mustangs, a camaro and a yamadog r6. i couldn't get off the thing or get the smile off my face. and at $16k, it's not really expensive. but alas, due to it being a rigid and the wifey having a plate in her neck, i will not buy.........at least not yet...muhahahahhahahahahahaha wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. here's teh pic.... the area where the 8 is was once the factory 6.5. the entire area was once a door/map pocket. i removed that with the trusty airsaw and made a replacement panel using 1/2"mdf. it is then vinyl'd using a factory color and backing. the 5.25 is just placed there..lol... sorry for the crappy phone pic, but i'm grounded from taking my good camera to work. it just gets way to dusty for the wifey to be happy. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. like denim mention, put the other set of tweets in the sail area or in the door panel itself. just race your mounting cup, get your dremel (or holesaw if you have the right size) and mount them... i'll have a pic up of a toyota highlander door panel i did with a mclass 8", and a 5.25 memphis sq componet set. in that pic you'll see the tweeter. in this case, that's the factory location, but i had to enlarge the hole quite a bit. and my dog rules!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. for around $500 you should be able to pick up either an orion 2500d or a kicker kx 2500.1 used. pm hccafan and see if he has any left. also, you can buy my ma audio hk4000d for about $50 under that shipped. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. good luck matt...hope you don't fail! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. get your v1's... i'm getting the rmr jammer.....they can't lock on ya, they can't give ya a ticket....period. radar or laser...and for $130, it's cheaper then the high end detectors and actually does something about it..lol... and yeah, they work. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. http://www.rockymountainradar.com/product_...eabddfd61fd4949 one combo option...$200 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. http://rockymountainradar.com/product_deta...88700a7cb684801 the thing to buy..lol and they've gotten cheaper....$130, used to be around $200 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. i think the jvc/crown amps are the sexiest... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. make sure whichever one you get has vg and vg2 anti detection circuirty..... helps to avoid them knowing....and the rm phazer isn't a detector, just a blocker. it's not illegal in any states that i'm aware of because, like i mentioned before, it's passive. it doesn't actively search for radar to block... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. depends...they have saved me on more then one occasion. i really want a rocky mountain radar phazer/phantom. they actually (passively, hence they are legal) block radar and laser. they even include a one year guarantee that if you do get a speeding ticket (as long as it's no more then 15mph over the limit), they'll pay the ticket. but they aren't cheap... the walmart whistler's i use now are ok and inexpensive <$45...and they have indeed paid for themselves... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. i'm in for 10/// wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. ignore my post steve..lol... i see jordan has ya covered... unless you want/need a second one... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. actually, i have one around here you can have....i need to find it.. it needs a power cord and i don't believe it picks up laser..... wait...i think i have another one... in any case, i'll try to get it shipped today. if it makes you feel better, just pay me whatever..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. ummmmm...good point. but with all the deadening he's doing, he might as well get the roof done too wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Get the roof done? all on my own, but perhaps it depends on if I can figure out a way to reduce the noisee from the window seals. Right now there is a little firewall noise--which eventually I will address--and mostly window seal noise. Other than that she is nice and quiet. It is funny to talk on my cell phone in the truck now. Before the deadening I had to have the volume all the way up, and I definetely don't anymore it's not hard...except you can't disconnect the mirror wiring, at least i couldn't. so i had to deaden with the headliner still in the truck, just resting on the seat tops..lol.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. ummmmm...good point. but with all the deadening he's doing, he might as well get the roof done too wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. both actually....da and grinder on some areas, hand in others... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. denim, full size xcab trucks are extremely hard to get loud, especially compared to other vehicles. smaller area to pressurize, yeah, ok. for some reason, that just doesn't apply to fsxc trucks bro. sean, looks great! that's alot of work going in there, and i like it! i get to start on my truck very soon, and might just mimic some of your deadening,lol...currently all that's deadened in my truck is the roof. and it needed it bad. pull your headliner down and you'll see why. two big non reinforced areas over the front passangers and one big flimsy sail over the rear seating area. there is one "T" brace for the entire roof. it splits the driver/passanger and the front/rear areas. but in the end, that should sound sweet bro! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. did i mention i sanded alot today? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
