  1. shit..we can get a pair of 15's sealed behind the seats of the new rams..so the lmt 10 shouldn't ba an issue...lol.. and i've done ported 12's in the older ones... get the 10, let us know..and then sell it to me when your real sub gets there! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. I am just curious. But what type of enclosure was the mag in and what type of enclosure was the Rl-p that you heard in? Also, what version of the mag was it and what amps were used? i tested the new mag 15 in 2.5 ported tuned to 34 hz off an orion 2500d @ 1 ohm and 4 ohm the rl-p 12 i own is currently in 2.5ft^3 tuned to 28hz off that same orion at 4 ohm. it's been in 1.25ft sealed, 1 ft sealed, 2 ft ported @ 34hz and it's current box. it's been powered by as little as 750 wrms and as much as 2500. the mag was a lowend monster, as is the rl-p. bieng smaller, the rl-p carried the higher freqs better, but hte magnum is a real sub, no doubt! either is a great choice. both willdo well ported OR sealed, you just have to build the proper enclosure. aaron, specs lend itself to what? real world application is all that matters. if specs is all that matters then we'd be breaking 200db legal with all the physics geeks running around. but what's on paper amounts to squat for the most part when you get in vehicle. the rl-p is more then capable in a sealed box. lends itself to ported? wtf? i don't care what brand it is..the specs get you pointed, building gets you there. trial and error makes it perfect. sorry if i'm snappy...but here lately all i hear about this and that is paper this, specs that. we are trying to hard to read too much into what's on paper and not what happens in car/truck. hell, if paper was that accurate, then sony would hold records too. jsut my .02 cents. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. T.O.P. for me..full of glee...and of pee...need to see....all that be.... i'm going to ebay to look for a motorcycle lift... *poof* wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  6. drop the ssi...treo's customer service sucks. damn...the eclipse would be kewl.... as would the rl-i... crap..i dunno..... i vote for the eclipse, but ported. and i get dibs on it when you sell it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. sometimes i wonder why i bother to do car audio.... at least where i work. things change too damn much. oh well...it pays decent, it's something i love and well, i can't think of anythi.....wait! i get good deals...lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. either..your preference. but if you go round, definitely go aeroport. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. i don't think the mag is all that more of a sub then the rl-p. i've listened to both..and personally, i think it's more of a brand choice. sq is neck and neck. spl might be the deciding factor. h2h, i couldn't tell you which will get louder. i think the mag will have an advantage there. budget, the rl-p walks the mag. so what you get is this.. sq= pretty much a dead heat. spl= edge to the mag, but that's opinion cost=rl-p box requirements= i think the rl-p is a bit more user friendly. to say one is on the next level compared to the other one is an overstatement IMO. these two subs are really close to each other. real close. the rl-s takes it to another level. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. wow..the last couple of pages is funny! for real, got some decent laughs outa there. speaking of recones...been talking to 007, goona get the ti reconed into a 12" version of the uberwoofer..hehe... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

that's sweet as hell casey!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. your first guess has to a mismarked terminal is probably the case. it happens quite a bit. whenever i install subs i always check polarity with a "speaker popper". (9 volt battry with speaker wire leads) . one more then one occasion i had happen to me exactly what you're talking about. wire everything up, double check it. no output. change polarity..BOOM! it happens bro. glad it's fixed!!! so now your getting output, how about a short review? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. we could've done without the crotch shots as well.. man, first thing in the morning too...my day is ruined... but the amp looks sweet bro! the your rl-p is going to love ya for it!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. the alpine is a bear to get to work while driving. you either have to buy an interface, sold seperately, or do a dance with a momentary switch and a toggle switch. we carry the pioneer avic unit (have on in stock, lol), the clarion (which is the best of our group), the panasonic and concept. i ran the 5" concept for a few weeks. nice lil unit. more gimicks then it needs, but comes with more adapters then any source i've seen. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. ok...no 4x6's.lol...you guys win. actually, probably wouldn't be hard to drop a 5.25 back there to be honest. that sound good? ryan..retail on the ss's was $999.99. the ones i'm getting are a year old and used two weeks. they were traded back in when the guy traded his truck. anyway, i can get ya my price today and let ya know. it won't be $1k, that's for sure..lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. i'm out for the evening gents.. peace! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. jim...hoppers wouldn't be bad at slow speeds..fonda's woulda been a bitch! power to weight advantage FTW!! deville...the caddy is sweet that color mang!! sweet! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. T.O.P. because i can. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. speaking of excessive speed, our salesman at the shop owns a modded 240sx. he challenged me to a drag race. loser pays for lunch. his 240, my scoot. i'm honest. tell him it's bored, cammed, jetted and pretty much gonna slap him silly. oh, his 240 is strong, 200rwhp. ok. we line em up. i'm fair. i tell him to count it down. he counts down from 3. i actually wait for him to launch, then i hammer his ass to the road. by second gear, 4 car lengths. easy. i rode on a bit jsut for good measure. lunch was gooooooood!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. amen. i can't keep it below 75 most of the time..lol... when your riding, you tone everything out. the wind, the road, the cars..your cruising. because you and the bike move together, you just slip into a natural state of comfortable. on my scoot, that's right around 75-80mph for cruising. everything flows. next thing you know, your there...lol..and wishing you'd slow down so it would take longer. and you catch those straights....you can't do 55, but sure enough, there's three cars who can. you grab a gear, roll the twisty thing, and next thing you know...100+mph. and it takes a bit to slow down too...it's too much fun! i regularly get 120 on the scoot, she good for a few more, but that's all the speedo reads. when i had my katana (smooth bores, vaneand hines, extra tooth, ported and polished) the best i got was 155mph. by speedo. probably closer to 135 actual. anything over 100 usually guarantees the morgue. so you don't sweat it. your not going to feel it anyway. not for long anyway. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. not flat, but i have a pretty sic idea anywho!!! muhahahahaa wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. i'm out! time for the ride..and work..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. taht's penny your talking too....are you sure you want details?? poor matt..lol... well, maybe not so poor... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. good morning all!! today..I GET TO RIDE THE SCOOT ALL DAY!!! found out something yesterday after work....my dorag won't stay on at 120...lol...had to turn around and get it...bstage school bus driver ran it over while i was waiting for him to drive by..if it wasn't for the kids......BLAM,POW! holy going to school lessons batman!!! muhahahahaha wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
