according to the link that brad posted, fairchild was just with tru..adn he didn't fund it, just worked for them. at least that's how i took it, that teh Wi guy actually owns tru. maybe brad or someone can fill in the gaps. as far as either company going under, i doubt that. too many competitors using that equipment. lots of money out there as long as the product stays at the same level. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

new box first with current subs... that don't work, move up. while i have zero experience with the 13kv's (aren't they supposed to be the 15's, like jl's 13w7?), i can tell u the rl-p's pound. loud and low! my single rl-p12 in 2.5ft^3 tuned to 32hz (i think, i'll have to look it up..lol) off 1200wrms did a 134 legal off a factory gm h/u. (this in a trailblazer however) so the potential to get loud is there. even with just one sub tuned low. as far as ur trunk goes, usually firing to the back of the trunk is louder then firing forward. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i don't think the cvx is reasonably priced though..lol...i still haven't heard one, so i could be wrong. we are supposed to be getting one at the shop soon. the rl-p's are a definite good choice. u'll like them. the si magd2 is a good one as well..... but what's reasonably priced? i mean, what kinda budget are u shooting for? that will go a long way in figuring out what to recommend. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yep...like eldo said. though personally, the only thing i don't like about deadening is ripping hte vehicle apart..lol... personally, i like brown bread brand. make sure u get a roller for it and do it where/when it's warmer. the deadner will go on easier that way. also, the edges will be sharp, it is backed by aluminum(most mat type anyway). and have fun!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

try subs to the passanger side if possible and ports to the rear....that style tends to work well in "odd" vehicles...lol... can't say anymore then that, but give it a go. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nice system, crappy system, almost doesn't seem to matter. like m5 stated above, the shape of an explorer/mountaineer lends itself to achieving unusally high spl scores, ala crx. hence, alot of top competitors have stopped using crxs and gone to the explorer/mountaineer for their spl vehicle. does urs have a sunroof? those are a bit louder then those without..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
